CSM mains 2024 result is being drafted right now.
TRENDS
πEssay huge variations seen ( average around 95)
πGS1, 3 very similar like last year
πGS2, 4 inflated marks compared to last year.
πCut off around 741 (Gen categ)
Again ESSAY and PT MARKS are going to be the game changer for final selection.
The result would be published only after departmental procedures are completed .

The probable date for UPPSC prelims is 22nd december as per information. Those who wish to appear seriously, can start with static revision, PYQs and current affairs as soon as possible.

πAdmit card ( at least 2 Copies)
πOriginal Id card (As mentioned in your own admit card)
πPassport size photos (2)
πBlack ball point pen (2)
πPens with which you usually write in the exam ( 4-5)
πPencil , rubber, sharpener ( only if you make diagrams and maps with pencils otherwise ignore)
πWater bottle ( transparent )
πWatch (analog)
πCarry pouch ( to keep all these things, if required)
πWallet
πPain reliever spray ,ice packs ( if required)
πScientific Calculator ( physics and other optionals)
πΈLast and the most important

Last year when I said cut off would be 75-77 , so many people were saying it's impossible π

πFor this year after analyzing the question paper thoroughly and taking inputs from various selected as well as multiple times interview appeared friends, my final cut off assessment is 87-89 ( as per UPSC answer key)
β¨So if your score is anywhere around 80-100 with different Institute keys, you must start preparing for mains as soon as possible.
πAlready you are 21 days behind the actual schedule, bcz of delay in prelims date.

Practise the approaches I have shared in this video on PYQs of the last 5 years And I am sure ,you will get more than 65 marks by just attempting multiple choice questions alone !!

PRELIMS 2024 EXPECTED TREND
πGS on a similar difficulty level, pattern as of 2023. Assertion reason qstns would be a little bit trickier .
πCSAT As per 2022 level. Maths reasoning on the easier side. DI, percentage, profit loss etc to return with better weightage.. Overall balanced. But RC would be a little bit on the moderate to tougher side.
