Taker | Tokenomics

The TAKER token serves as the native utility token for the Taker Chain, primarily used to pay for gas fees associated with on-chain activities. It is both transferable and tradable.

Ticker: $TAKER

Token Allocation:

Community Distribution (51%): Allocated through airdrops, minting events, staking rewards, block rewards, and various on-chain activities.

Core Contributors (10%): Reserved for the team, with tokens unlocking quarterly over five years. Early developers and ecosystem contributors are also rewarded within this allocation over the same period.

Investors (22%): Tokens designated for investors, released quarterly over approximately 2-3 years, subject to specific cliff terms.

Advisors (2%): Set aside for advisors, with a vesting period spanning approximately 5-7 years.


In addition to TAKER, the platform introduces veTAKER, a governance token instrumental in securing the network through staking with validators under the NPoL (Nominated Proof of Liquidity) consensus mechanism. veTAKER is non-transferable and can be minted by burning TAKER tokens at a 1:1 ratio; however, this process is irreversible.

Functions of veTAKER:

Governance Participation: Holders can vote on proposals, such as adding or removing liquidity pools and adjusting reward distribution parameters.

Network Security: By staking veTAKER, holders become nominators or validators, earning yields from transaction fees and block rewards.


Acquiring TAKER and veTAKER:

TAKER: Primarily obtained through block rewards via validators or purchased on secondary markets.

veTAKER: Acquired by depositing and staking liquidity provider (LP) tokens or through distribution from block rewards to validators and nominators.


This tokenomic structure is designed to foster a decentralized and secure ecosystem, incentivizing active participation from community members, contributors, investors, and advisors.
