Yesterday evening around the Apete Market area close to the Garage, a middle aged man named Ahmed str@ngled his sick dad and visually impaired uncle to de@th with the intention of selling their parts. He was handed over to the police.

A 7 man robbery attempt was foiled last night at Adebanjo street, Kongi area, New Bodija. One of them was caught and admitted they were seven. He was later handed over to the Police.

Last week, t Adagba Arola area of Apete, the hair and flesh of a five year old girl was bitten off by a dog when she went to the house of the owner. Unknown to the owner, the dog was already loosed from the cage. As the girl came in, the dog pounced on her. The owner tried to rescue the girl but wasn't successful and the dog even attacked the owner, tearing off a flesh on her face too. Neighbours eventually succeeded in taking down the dog and rescued the girl. She was taken to a health center at Ajibode and eventually referred to UCH for emergency attention, same for the dog owner. Some hoodlums took advantage of the situation to break the glass windows of the owner and vandalized the house but one of them was arrested

Around 8:30am today, at Iyanganku GRA Roundabout, a fatal accident happened between a trailer and a bikeman. The bikeman now d€ad is under the trailer wrapped with sacks to avoid the gory sight. Another person is reported to have di€d too.

Two cable thieves were caught and beaten to pulp by residents of Amuloko area, in the Ona-Ara Local Government Area of Oyo State.
 
The suspects were nabbed today Sunday, June 9, 2024, while conveying the vandalised electric cable with their motorcycle.
 
The thieves were later stripped naked and tied to electric poles. 
 
According to one of the suspects identified as Lekan, they came from Oremeji area of Ibadan to commit the crime

Police arrest six ACU students for beating their colleague to death over stolen phone

At least six students of Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo State, have been arrested by the police over the brutal murd£r of their colleague, identified as Prince Alex Timileyin.

It was gathered that the arrested students att@cked Alex after they allegedly caught him with a missing iPhone 12 Pro Max on Friday night, May 24, 2024.

The students, who are residents of Shepherd’s Inn hostel, stripped the deceased, sh@ved his head and gang beat him from 10 pm on Friday to 6 am on Saturday.

He was later abandoned in the rain, where he sadly passed away.

Alex, a 200-level Engineering student, was found d£ad in front of the hostel on Saturday morning.

A thi£f was caught this morning at Bodija estate, close to Odusanya street before Ashi Police Station area. Residents say there have been multiple cases of theft/robbery recently including cars and bikes. He was eventually handed over to Ashi Police Station.
