Since the admins of this channel make the small effort of crediting the creators of the artworks we post, we would really appreciate if you either forwarded the posts with credits or copied and sent the credits together with the art.
Artists take hours or days to make the art we enjoy, they are heavily underpaid and now they also have to deal with generative ai shit. It's only right to take 30 more seconds before sending to channels and groups in order to give them at least the visibility they deserve. Also, quick tip for admins, putting the link in the caption rather than in the comments ensures that it is more visible, and it is preserved when forwarding

Google has been recently been cracking down on any service that allows to access YouTube content without being tracked, namely frontends like invidious and NewPipe.
If you are having problems with any of these or you just wanna watch YouTube without ads, for Android users I recommend PipePipe as an alternative, which was born as a NewPipe fork and has now evolved as a parallel project. The devs are doing an amazing job which allows so many people to access YouTube AD FREE, without tracking, with access to all premium features (like play in background and picture-in-picture), even allowing to download videos, all without having to login.
Additional features include SponsorBlock and access to other platforms such as Soundcloud, Bandcamp, BiliBili, FreeTube and NicoNico. You can download PipePipe here, and it has in-app updates.

I'm seeing so much desperation surrounding the election of Trump and the rise of right wing populisms. Yes, times are tough, things are shitty and they are gonna be even shittier in the next few years. I absolutely understand the dread that's afflicting you, seeing liberal "democracies" put in power people who are so openly disregarding the value of others' lives. But this is not the time to despair. It's time for pride, time to live in spite of all the shit that's happening, because if you give up, you are only letting them have it. They think an election can make the world change to whatever they want, but at the end of the day it's just an election. The US has been a fascist country for at least the past 60 years, its citizens have survived Nixon, Bush and Trump's first term, do you really think it's gonna be much worse? It's gonna be shit, sure, but eventually these 4 years will end and we will survive. There's gonna be struggle and conflict - it's time to bring out your rage and anger to fuel your political actions. There's gonna be violence - it's time to be active to protect your siblings and show those bigots you don't need Kamala to protect you (she wouldn't have anyway). Put your efforts in your local politics, the ones that really matter, and bring visible change that actually impacts lives. If you ever feel helpless, remember: you are not alone, there are others like you. United we fought and won against fascism many times, we can do it again.

BlueSky yesterday announced raising 15 million dollars through a venture capital funding led by Blockchain Capital. I'm just saying, the internet is not gonna be saved by yet another centralised company that promises to be respectful of its users. Promises mean nothing, and the exodus from Twitter to BlueSKy is only gonna attract more investors and more economic interests towards the latter. And it will be only a matter of time before BlueSky meets the same end as Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram and Twitter, becoming a machine for its owners' interests rather a platform that is really for the users. This is because, at the end of the day, centralised platforms like BlueSky (contrary to popular belief, it is not federated, it just uses a protocol that can be used for federation) have to rely on an essentially capitalistic financial system, either dying small or becoming big enough to be a puppet of venture capitalists and big funders, having to rely heavily on ads and selling user data for financial return.
Instead of BlueSky you could use Mastodon, a decentralised (federated) alternative financed via crowdfunding, from which you can even follow and interact with BlueSky profiles via Bridgy Fed. To register you can either host your own server or you can choose from a long list of public servers. Some things might be a bit trickier to work out, but there's plenty of beginner guides to help you move across the platform (I usually recommend this one)
TL;DR don't trust centralised platforms, ditch BlueSky, use Mastodon and reclaim your freedom on the internet
