📌 FMS has started the application process.

After many years, FMS will close its application before the CAT itself. Do note that it is amongst the best MBA colleges in the country and the absolute best when it comes to ROI. Also, there is zero weightage to profile in the initial shortlisting. Even in the later stages, the weightage to profile is minimal. For these reasons, the CAT cutoff required to get into FMS is extremely high.

Last few years, FMS has given 40% weightage to the score in VARC section and 30% each to the other two sections for PI shortlisting. Additionally, female candidates are awarded 5 diversity points.

📌 MICA/MICAT I applications are going on. It is a very good option if you want to specialise in Marketing and Communication.

💰 Average Salary for the PGDM-C and PGDM batch of 2022-24 was 19 lacs per year. PGDM is a relatively new course. In your program preference, put PGDM-C first and then PGDM.

📝 MICA selection will be based on your MICAT score as well as your performance in CAT or XAT. MICAT is conducted twice a year. A candidate may choose to write either MICAT I or II or both. Better of the two MICAT Scores will be considered, if appeared for both the tests. Besides MICAT, you will also have to provide the scores of CAT and/or XAT.

Separate application for IB and BA programs

📌 Expected CAT cutoff:
Same cutoff in IB for both campuses for GD/PI shortlisting. In other words, all shortlisted students will be eligible for both the campuses.

Last year, BA also had the same cutoff as IB.

➡️ Male General: 96.5 %ile (55 %ile in each section)
➡️ Male NC-OBC/EWS: 92 (50 in each)
➡️ Male SC/ST: 85 (30 in each)

🚺 Women candidates got 2 marks for diversity. So, for them the percentile cutoff will be lower by 1.5-2 %ile in each category above.

💵 Placements 2024:
Average Salary Rs 27.3 lacs per annum for IB.

📍Placements for both Delhi and Kolkata batches are held together in the Delhi campus.

🆕 BA is a new program and the first batch will graduate in 2025.

IIFT (New Delhi & Kolkata) has announced 22nd November as the last date to apply. The date may not be extended. So, along with SPJIMR (Mumbai) and MDI (Gurgaon), IIFT is the third college that you will have to apply before sitting for the CAT. Will post placement, cut off and other details of IIFT in a few days.

Please note that all the other colleges like IMT, BITSoM etc will extend the last dates. So, no need to apply to these now.

⏰ If you missed out on applying to NMIMS or to both NMAT & NMIMS, last date has been extended till 13-Oct.

You may just apply for the SNAP now and choose programs to apply later. However, remember that some of them will close before the first SNAP.

NMAT and NMIMS registrations will close on 10-Oct. Don't wait for the last day. Apply today, if not yet done.

Please note that you have to first apply for NMAT and then for NMIMS. Even if you have registered for NMAT, you have to register for NMIMS separately by 10-Oct.

Also, remember that you have to schedule your exam date and slot latest by 14-Oct.

👆There are only 2 colleges under CAT, where applications will close before you appear for the CAT. These are SPJIMR Mumbai & MDI Gurgaon.

📌 Expected CAT cutoff: QA 75 %ile; LRDI 80 %ile; VARC 85 %ile and Overall 93 %ile
(MDI G looks at education profile, work-ex and gender diversity too. There were quite a few instances of shortlists at 92 percentile and also much higher percentile but no shortlisting)

📝 Eligibility Criteria:

PGDM, PGDM HRM & PGDM Business Analytics: At least 3 years’ bachelor’s degree or in the final year. Minimum 50% marks required in 10, 12 & graduation.

PGDM IB: At least 4 years’ bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks in 10, 12 & graduation. AND minimum 1 year work  experience (as on 31.01.2025) after completing graduation.

📝 Application Process:
Apply for both PGDM and PGDM (BM).

For the PGDM program, there are four specialisations – Finance, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain. You will have to choose the specialisation at the application stage itself. Freshers are advised to apply for Finance and/or Marketing.

📌 Shortlisting Process:
Two short-lists are released for appearng for Interview:

1. Profile based
Released Dec before Christmas and is based only on your profile. If you have less than 80/80/70 in 10/12/Graduation respectively, it will be almost impossible to get a shortlist. If you get a profile-based shortlist, you will just have to score 75 %ile in each section of CAT and 85 %ile overall to meet the eligibility criterion.

2. Profile cum Score based
Released after the declaration of CAT results. If you just missed a profile based shortlist, you may get one here provided your CAT score is very good. Usually minimum 95%ile in CAT is required alongwith a good profile.
