Yesterday was a tough day in the markets due to unexpected movements, likely influenced by the upcoming Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) report. Before the NFP release, markets tend to consolidate. As this is an NFP week, we will refrain from trading the day before and on the actual NFP day. Typically, we see consolidation on Thursday, followed by a large movement on Friday when the NFP report is released.

It’s important to avoid trading during NFP due to slippage. In such high-volatility events, price can move in milliseconds, causing slippage where stop losses don’t execute properly. This can lead to losing -2RR or even -3RR on a single trade, rather than the intended -1RR.

We are here to trade with a structured plan, not to gamble. It’s crucial to focus on the most favorable price action and avoid risky situations like trading during NFP events.

### How to Trade Around NFP:

1. Pre-NFP Day (Thursday): Expect consolidation as the market waits for the major event. Avoid taking unnecessary trades, as movements are likely to be choppy.

2. NFP Day (Friday): Volatility increases dramatically once the report is released. It’s recommended to stay out of the market as slippage can cause larger-than-expected losses.
