✍️ Often we look at the waves and fear grips us like Peter. We need to take ownership of the authority in us! The enemy's time is very short, that's why he is so fierce & cruel.
Let us remember two things: he is defeated & we have authority!!

Dear God, We remember today, the pain and suffering of the cross, and all that Jesus was willing to endure, so we could be set free.

He paid the price, such a great sacrifice, to offer us the gift of eternal life.

Help us never to take for granted this huge gift of love on our behalf.

Help us to be reminded of the cost of it all.

Forgive us for being too busy, or distracted by other things, for not fully recognizing what you have freely given, what you have done for us.

Thank you, Lord, that by your wounds we are healed.

Thank you that because of your huge sacrifice we can live free.

Thank you that sin and death have been conquered and that your Power is everlasting.

Thank you that we can say with great hope, β€œIt is finished…” For we know what’s still to come. And death has lost its sting.

We praise you for you are making all things new.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Have a Blessed Day ! 😊

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

Verses 14-17: Prophecy against Jeroboam and Israel

Amos responds to Amaziah by emphasizing his divine calling and delivers a severe prophecy against him, his family, and Israel πŸ‘‡

"Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:

And the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.

Now therefore hear thou the word of the LORD: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac.

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land."

Amos 7: 14-17

The Locusts, Fire, and Plumb Line

Amos 7: Visions, Confrontations, and Prophetic Courage

Amos 7 is a reminder that while God's justice is real, so is His mercy.

Intercession can change the course of events, even amid harsh predictions.

However, justice cannot always be averted, especially when corruption persists.

Despite opposition, we are called to stand firm in our faith and courageously proclaim God's truth

Amos 7 delves into the prophetic visions of divine judgment given to the shepherd-turned-prophet, Amos.

His messages are not only direct but confrontational, inciting resistance from powerful religious figures.

Yet, amid impending doom, Amos intercedes for his people, showcasing the profound courage and compassion within him
