*Libya Protests Halting Oil Shipments From Key Eastern Ports*
- Oil loadings from two key Libyan ports, Ras Lanuf and Es Sider, are being halted due to protests, affecting about a third of Libya's crude exports.
- The stoppages, ordered by the Oil Crescent Region Movement, will impact over 400,000 barrels of oil per day and add to global supply risks.
- The disruption is the latest in Libya's struggles to maintain production, with the country's east and west regions divided between rival governments and military factions.
*Trump's policies continue to threaten oil markets with prices falling more than 2% yesterday however, Libya protests, Russian sanctions and OPEC bi-monthly meet next week will limit any further fall in Oil.*
*It is likely that the OPEC+ will maintain its current supply policy at a review meeting next week, resisting US President Donald Trump's pressure to increase production and lower prices.*

China Services Growth Hits 7-Month High
China Caixin Services PMI (Dec)

Impact : Positive for base metals
The Caixin China General Services PMI increased to 52.2 in December 2024 from 51.5 in November, surpassing market forecasts of 51.7. The latest reading marked the fastest expansion in the services sector since May, supported by greater new business inflows. Sales growth was notably driven by higher domestic demand, as new export business fell for the first time since August 2023 amid softening foreign interest. Meanwhile, employment declined for the first time in four months, due to resignations and cost concerns. On the cost side, input price inflation accelerated for the first time in three months, though it remained only marginally, driven by higher material and wage costs. As a result, selling prices increased for the first time since June, as firms sought to pass on rising cost burdens to clients. Finally, sentiment weakened to the second-lowest level since March 2020, amid concerns over rising competition and the negative economic outlook for international trade.

(Bloomberg) -- China cancels export tax rebate for copper, aluminum and some other oil-related products, according to statement from the Ministry of Finance, without stating a reason.

Copper Boosted By China Stimulus Hope Ahead of US Rate Decision
Copper rose with other industrial metals following a report of a possible fresh announcement of Chinese stimulus totaling 10 trillion yuan ($1.4 trillion), as investors also prepare for next week's Federal Reserve rate decision.
The fiscal stimulus may be approved at a meeting by China's top legislative body to be held Nov. 4-8, according to a Reuters report on Tuesday. That would help support the metal, which has retreated from a record high in May amid concerns about demand recovery in the top metals consuming country.
Investors are also assessing the likely path of US rate cuts. The central bank's next policy meeting is on Nov. 6-7, and traders will be scrutinizing more economic data due later this week - including inflation and payroll figures - that may offer clues on the Fed's easing trajectory into 2025.
