The Virtue of the Month of Sha'ban:

1. Deeds are Elevated to Allah in this Month:

Narrated by Usama ibn Zaid: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I do not see you fasting in any month as much as you fast in Sha'ban." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "That is a month people neglect between Rajab and Ramadan, and it is a month in which deeds are lifted to the Lord of the Worlds. I love for my deeds to be lifted while I am fasting."

📚[Authenticated by Al-Albani, may Allah have mercy on him.]

2- The Frequency of Fasting by the Prophet (ﷺ) in Sha'ban:

Narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to fast so much during Sha'ban that we would say, 'He will not break his fast,' and he would break his fast so much that we would say, 'He will not fast.' I never saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) complete a month of fasting except for Ramadan, and I never saw him fasting more in any other month than in Sha'ban."

📗 [Reported by Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawood, An-Nasa'i, Tirmidhi, and others.]

3- The Forgiveness of Sins on the Night of the Mid-Sha'ban:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Indeed, Allah looks upon His creation on the night of the middle of Sha'ban, and He forgives all of them except for the polytheist and the one harboring enmity."

[Narrated by Ibn Majah and authenticated by Al-Albani.]

🔹️The Wisdom Behind Fasting in the Month of Sha'ban:

Ibn Rajab, may Allah have mercy on him, said:

"Fasting in Sha'ban serves as a preparation for Ramadan, so that one enters Ramadan without hardship or difficulty. Rather, they have trained themselves in fasting and become accustomed to it. By fasting in Sha'ban, one experiences the sweetness and pleasure of fasting, thus entering Ramadan with strength and enthusiasm. Since Sha'ban acts as an introduction to Ramadan, it includes what is legislated for Ramadan, such as fasting and recitation of the Quran, to prepare oneself for the arrival of Ramadan. This instills in souls the readiness to engage in obedience to the Most Merciful."

📙[ Lata'if al-Ma'arif (138)]

▫️What the Pious Predecessors Used to Do in Sha'ban:

➡️Salama bin Kuhayl said:
"It was said that Sha'ban is the month of reciters."

➡️And Habib bin Abi Thabit used to say when Sha'ban began:
"This is the month of reciters."

➡️Amr bin Qays al-Malai used to close his shop when Sha'ban began and dedicate himself to reading the Quran.

📙[ "Lata'if al-Ma'arif" (138)]

📍Rulings of the Night of Mid-Sha'ban

5- How to reconcile between the hadith "When the middle of Sha'ban comes, do not fast" and the hadith "Indeed, the Prophet (ﷺ) used to fast Sha'ban until Ramadan"?

▪️ Shaykh Ibn Baz, may Allah have mercy on him, said:

A- The Prophet (ﷺ) used to fast the whole month of Sha'ban, but perhaps he omitted fasting for a few days.

B- As for the hadith prohibiting fasting after the middle of Sha'ban, it is authentic, as stated by the esteemed scholar Shaykh Nasir al-Din al-Albani. The prohibition is against starting fasting after the middle of Sha'ban, but whoever fasts for the majority of the month or the entire month has adhered to the Sunnah.

{ وَٱسۡتَعِینُوا۟ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِۚ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِیرَةٌ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلۡخَـٰشِعِینَ }

{And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah ]}

[Surah Al-Baqarah: 45]

Al-Sa'di (رحمه الله) said:

"Allah commanded them to seek help in all their affairs through patience in all its forms:
➡️ patience in obeying Allah by fulfilling His commands,

➡️ patience in avoiding sin by staying away from what He forbids,

➡️ and patience in enduring painful decrees without complaining.

Through patience and restraining oneself in what Allah has commanded, a person gains great assistance in all matters.

"Whoever strives to be patient, Allah will grant them patience."

Likewise, prayer, which is the measure of faith and deters from immorality and wrongdoing, is also a source of help in all matters. Allah says, "Indeed, it (prayer) is difficult except for the humble"—meaning, prayer is challenging and burdensome for many, except for those who are humble before Allah. For them, it becomes light and easy because their humility, fear of Allah, and hope for His reward motivate them to perform it with a willing heart and an open chest, as they anticipate the reward and fear the punishment. In contrast, for those lacking such motivation, prayer becomes one of the heaviest tasks."

#Christmas
#Halloween

Ruling on participation in the holidays of Christians and other disbelievers.(Christmas, Halloween etc..) by Ibn Baz!

Question: our brother says: he notices that some Muslims participate with Christians at Christ birth or Christmas, as they call it,and he asks for guidance!

Answer:

It is not permissible for a Muslim man or a Muslim woman to participate with Christians, Jews, or other disbelievers in their festivals, rather that should be left because (whoever resembles a people is one of them) and the Messenger (ﷺ) warned us about their similarity and resembling their morals.

The believing men and women should be cautious of that and not help in establishing these festivals in any way, because they are festivals contrary to the law of Allaah, and are held by the enemies of Allah

It is not permissible to participate in it, cooperate with its people, or help them with anything, not with tea, coffee, or anything such as utensils and the like.

Allaah also says: {cooperate in righteousness and piety and do not cooperate in sin and transgressions [Al Maa'dah:2] participating with the disbelievers on their holidays is a kind of cooperation in sin and transgression, it is the duty of every Muslim man and woman to leave that, and a reasonable person should not be deceived by people's actions.

What is required is to consider the Shariah(Islamic law) and what it says, and to comply with the command of Allaah and His Messenger (ﷺ), and not to look at the affairs of people, because most of the creation do not care about what Allaah has prescribed, as Allaah said in his noble book: {and if you obey most of those on earth they will lead you astray from the way of Allaah} [Al-Anaam:116], the Almighty(ﷻ) said: { And most of mankind will not believe even if you desire it eagerly}. [Yusuf:103], then festivals that violate the Shariah are not permissible, even if people do it.

The believer weighs his deeds and his sayings, and the deeds of people and the sayings of people by the book and the Sunnah, by the book of Allaah(ﷻ) and the Sunnah of His Messenger (ﷺ). what agrees with them or one of them is accepted, even if people leave it, and what disagrees with them or one of them is rejected, even if people do it, may Allaah grant everyone success and guidance.

🔴Twenty benefits of sitting in gatherings of knowledge and remembrance [taken from the introduction of the book The Virtue of Knowledge Gatherings and Circles of Remembrance, and their Etiquettes by Shaykh Abdullāh al-Khawlāni] 🔴

1. It is a light that the muslim utilizes to enlighten himself. The servant acquires a criterion through which he distinguishes the truth from falsehood.

2. It serves as a drive which urges the heart towards the Knower of the Unseen.

3. It treats and softens the hardened heart; the more heedless the heart is (of Allāh) the harder it becomes.

4. It awakes the heart from sleep and alerts it from slumber.

5. It is a turning point for many from the paths of misguidance, ignorance, wretchedness and sadness to the path of bliss, happiness and honour.

6. It is path to paradise.

7. It is a path to Allāh's forgiveness.

8. It is a path to beneficial knowledge.

9. It is the true life of the believer through which his heart becomes alive.

10. It is a fortified citadel for the servant from Shaytān.

11. It gives rise to the fear of Allāh in the hearts and softens it.

12. Allāh remembers him by way of them.

13. They are the sittings of the angels (they have no other gatherings in the dunya except those of knowledge; the sittings of heedlessness are in reality sittings of the devils).

14. The servant attains the Salāh of Allāh and the angels i.e; He makes mention of them amongst the lofty gathering of angels and the angels supplicate and seek forgiveness for them.

15. They are gatherings which our Lord boasts about amongst the inhabitants of the heavens.

16. They are considered the gardens of paradise.

17. They consist of preoccupation with good and from evil.

18. Within them is the preoccupation from backbiting, tale carrying, lying, indecencies, faleshood and vain speech.

19. The Muslim also attains as a result of sitting in these gatherings:

- Closeness to Allāh
- Ample doors of understanding
- Provides him with the sustenance of the heart and soul
- Increases the Ēmān of the servant and strengthens it.
- Doors of provisions open for him
- Eliminates anguish, stress and discontentment and gives rise to happiness, pleasure and tranquility and amiablity.

20. It assist the servant and encourages him to obey Allāh.

{ وَأَقِیمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱرۡكَعُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلرَّ ٰكِعِینَ }

{And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience].}

[Surah Al-Baqarah: 43]

Al-Sa'di (رحمه الله) said:

"And establish prayer," meaning perform it outwardly and inwardly with sincerity and devotion.

"And give zakah," to those who are deserving of it.

"And bow with those who bow," meaning pray collectively with those who perform salah. By doing so, and by believing in the messengers of Allah and His signs, you will have combined external and internal actions, sincerity in worshiping Allah, kindness toward His creation, and acts of the heart, body, and wealth.

The phrase "and bow with those who bow" emphasizes the importance of praying in congregation, highlighting the obligation of communal prayer. It also underscores that bowing (rukū') is pillar of the prayer, as the act of bowing is used here to represent the entire prayer. Referring to the whole act of worship through one of its essential parts indicates the obligatory nature of that part.

Advice of a Scholar

Sheikh Saleem Al-Hilali hafidahullah writes:

1⃣. With the joy of the Muslims, we too rejoice, and with the lifting of oppression, we find happiness.

Praise be to Allāh, who has delivered our Muslim brothers in Syria from the Rafidah, Nusayris, and their allies.

We ask Allāh that the outcomes be better than the beginnings, that He protects the blood of Muslims in Syria, unites their word, brings their ranks together, and keeps them steadfast in adhering to their religion—following the Qur'an and Sunnah—and that He spares them from internal strife.

2⃣. The phase that Syria is currently going through is the most dangerous yet. My advice to the people of Syria:

1. Form an independent, sincere government as soon as possible to manage affairs across all regions of Syria.

2. Avoid personal and sectarian interests and prioritise the interests of your religion—Islam—and your nation, Syria (Ash-Sham).

3. Preserve the unity of your state and do not listen to those who seek to divide it.

4. My advice to all Syrian factions: Maintain good relations with neighbouring countries, especially Jordan, as it represents your religious, Arab, and strategic depth.

I ask Allāh to grant victory to Islam and the Muslims and to elevate, by His grace, the words of truth and religion. Indeed, He is the guarantor of all beautiful things, and He is sufficient for us and the best disposer of affairs.

By Allah’s grace, it has now been liberated.

The oppressor fled, stripped even of his garments,
Leaving it a pride and treasure for the people of truth."

📜 Knowledge is Allah’s Grace, He Grants It to Whom He Wills

Faisal Al-Hashadi (حفظه الله) said: The continuation of a student in the pursuit of knowledge for a long time does not necessarily mean they will become a scholar, because knowledge is Allah’s grace that He grants to whom He wills. Allah(ﷻ) says: “And those who have been given knowledge.”

Ibn Uthaymeen (رحمه الله) said:

This indicates that knowledge is not something a person attains solely through their own effort; rather, a person is dependent on Allah for its attainment. Knowledge is not simply your own accomplishment. How many people spend years seeking knowledge but fail to achieve it, and how many others gain abundant knowledge in a short period of time.”

{ إِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِينُ }

{It is You we worship and You we ask for help}

Al-Sa'di (رحمه الله) said:

"This means: We worship You alone and do not worship anyone else, and we seek help from You alone and not from anyone else. The order of worship before seeking help emphasizes giving priority to Allah's right over the servant's needs.

Worship
: is a comprehensive term for everything Allah loves and is pleased with—both outward and inward deeds and words.

Seeking help: means relying on Allah to attain benefits and ward off harms while trusting Him to fulfill these needs.

Worshiping Allah and seeking His help are the keys to eternal happiness and protection from all evils. There is no path to salvation except through both. Worship becomes valid only when it is based on the guidance of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and is solely intended for Allah’s pleasure.

Seeking help is mentioned after worship, even though it is part of worship, because the servant needs Allah’s assistance in all acts of worship. Without Allah's help, they cannot fulfill His commands or avoid His prohibitions."

"Let Those Who Can Assist Step Forward!"

The Arabs used to perform Ḥajj to the Ka’bah annually during Jāhiliyyah. As such, Ḥajj season was an opportune time to spread the message of truth to all the people gathered there.

Jābir ibn ’Abdillāh (may Allāh be pleased with him) says:
((كان يَعْرِضُ نفسَهُ على الناسِ في المَوْقِفِ، فيقولُ: ألا رجلٌ يَحْمِلُنِي إلى قَوْمِهِ، فإنَّ قُرَيْشًا قد مَنَعُونِي أنْ أُبَلِّغَ كَلامَ ربِّي))
"He (the Prophet ﷺ) would present himself to the people at the standing place and say: "Is there anyone who will take me to his people? For Quraysh has prevented me from conveying the words of my Lord.'"

The leaders of Quraysh not only rejected the message of Tawheed themselves but also actively obstructed the Prophet ﷺ from delivering it to others. This was why the Prophet ﷺ sought the support of the pilgrims, asking them to believe in him, allow him to convey his message to their people, and offer him protection in fulfilling his mission.

In light of this narration, I extend a public call to all Muslims to support our efforts in establishing Masjid As-Sahabah.

📜 [Warning Against Evil Suspicion]📜

Abu Hurairah ( رضي الله عنه) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the worst of false speech. Do not spy, do not eavesdrop, do not harbor hatred for one another, and be, O servants of Allah, as brothers."

📚(al-Bukhari 6066; Muslim 2563)

Ibn Hibban (رحمه الله ) said:

It is incumbent upon a wise person to maintain safety by refraining from investigating the faults of others and focusing instead on rectifying their own flaws. Whoever preoccupies themselves with their own faults rather than the faults of others will find peace of body and mind. Each time they uncover a fault within themselves, it will lessen their concern over what they perceive in others. On the other hand, whoever busies themselves with the faults of others while neglecting their own will become blind to their own shortcomings, tire their body, and make it difficult for themselves to reform. Indeed, the most incapable of people is the one who criticizes others for faults they themselves have, and even more incapable is the one who condemns them for faults that also exist within themselves. Whoever faults others will inevitably be faulted by them.”

💫WHO IS MOST BENEFICIAL PERSON TO YOU?💫

✏️AL-IMAAM IBNU-L-QAYYIM رحمه الله answers:

"The most beneficial person to you is the one who allows you to influence him positively—someone who gives you the opportunity to instill goodness in him or do good deeds towards him.

Such a person becomes a valuable aid to you in achieving your own benefit and perfection. In reality, your benefit from him is equal to, if not greater than, his benefit from you.

🚫Conversely, the most harmful person to you is the one who enables you to sin against Allah because of him. Such a person becomes an aid to your harm and deficiency.

📙Al-Fawaid

➡️ I said:
This beautiful trait is clearly evident in our time among the people of Yemen in general, particularly in the regions liberated from the tyranny of the Houthis, and especially in the Hadhramaut governorate, both its interior and coastal areas. May Allah reward them with the best of rewards.

All praise and thanks are due to Allah:
"And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; they have no choice. Exalted is Allah and high above what they associate with Him" [Quran 28:68].

The Salafi da'wah in Yemen has become a refuge and support for the people of Sunnah and Jama'ah, despite the enmity of adversaries:
"They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it" [Quran 9:32].

This is an ancient and deep-rooted quality among the people of Yemen. In Sahih Muslim, it is narrated:
On the authority of Anas, the people of Yemen came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "Send with us a man to teach us the Sunnah and Islam."

I ask Allah to preserve this blessed da'wah in every place and to grant it acceptance.

The Book of Supplicating Allah to Exalt the Mention of Allah's Messenger ﷺ

Chapter 243: The Obligation of Supplicating Allah to Exalt His Mention and its Excellence, and its Manner

Allah Almighty says:

"Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [ Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ Allah to grant him] peace."

(Surah Al-Ahzab, 33:56)

2. From Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

"The people who will be nearest to me on the Day of Resurrection will be those who supplicate Allah more often for me."

📗(Reported by At-Tirmidhi, who said: This is a hasan (sound) hadith)

3. From Aws ibn Aws (may Allah be pleased with him), he said, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

"Among the best of your days is Friday; so supplicate Allah more often for me in it , for your supplications will be displayed to me."

They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, how will our supplication be presented to you when you have decayed?"
He said: "Allah has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the prophets."

#Christmas

🤚Attention For those who don't perform Sunnah prayers!

In just one year, the difference between those who pray the rawaatib(sunnah of the obligatory prayers) and those who do not pray it, is (4320) Rak'ahs.

💡 The difference between those who pray the witr one Rak'ah per day and those who do not pray it, is (365) Rak'ahs.

➡️And the difference between those who kneel two duha Rak'ahs daily and those who do not pray it, is (730) Rak'ahs.

The difference in the number of Rak'ahs for those who kept the above sunnah prayers and those who don't keep it, is (5415) Rak'ahs.

That's the minimum difference in one year, given that they pray only one witr and two duha only unlike those who pray more, now multiply that by years!

Al-Sa'di, in his commentary on the verse:

{..whom He loves and who love Him,..}
(Al-Ma'idah: 54),

said:

"The love of Allah for His servant is the greatest blessing He can bestow upon them, and the highest favor He grants. When Allah loves a servant, He makes all means easy for them, makes every hardship manageable, guides them to do good deeds and avoid wrongdoing, and turns the hearts of His other servants toward them with love and affection.

As for the servant’s love for their Lord, it necessarily involves following the Prophet (ﷺ), both outwardly and inwardly, in their words, actions, and all states, as Allah says: 'Say, [O Muhammad], If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you.'(Aal 'Imran: 31).

It is also a requirement of Allah’s love for the servant that they seek closeness to Allah through obligatory deeds and then through voluntary acts of worship, as stated by the Prophet (ﷺ) in the authentic hadith from Allah: 'My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than what I have made obligatory upon them. And My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary deeds until I love them. And when I love them, I become their hearing with which they hear, their sight with which they see, their hand with which they grasp, and their foot with which they walk. Were they to ask Me, I would surely give them, and were they to seek refuge in Me, I would surely grant them refuge.'

A servant’s love for Allah also entails knowing Him and frequently remembering Him. Love without knowledge of Allah is very deficient, if not nonexistent, even if its claim is present. Whoever loves Allah remembers Him often, and if Allah loves a servant, He accepts even a little good from them and forgives their many slips and errors."

Narrated by Thawban, the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

"The nations will soon gather against you, just as people gather around a feast." Someone asked, "Will it be because of our small number on that day?"

He ﷺ replied, "No, you will be numerous, but you will be like the foam of the sea(scum and rubbish like that carried down by a torrent), and Allah will take away the fear of you from the hearts of your enemies and will throw Wahn (weakness) into your hearts." Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is Wahn?"

He said, "Love of the world and dislike of death."

📜 Maintaining Family Ties as a Source of Blessings and Wealth

(A hadith benefit from my father's(Yahya Al-Hajouri) research, may Allah protect him)

From Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him), he said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "There is no sin more deserving of Allah hastening its punishment in this world, alongside what is stored for the Hereafter, than severing family ties, betrayal, and lying. And the quickest reward for good deeds is for maintaining family ties; to the point that a household could be poor, but their wealth will grow, and their numbers will increase if they keep in touch with one another."

This is an authentic hadith authenticated by Shaykh Al-Albani (may Allah have mercy on him) in his collection "As-Sahihah" (918), and my father, may Allah protect him, also authenticated it in his book "Al-I'lam bi Huquq al-Walidayn wa Ma Yata'allaqu bihima min Ahkam" on page 88.

One of the supporting narrations: From Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Whoever would like to have his provision expanded or his life prolonged, let him maintain his family ties." Recorded by Al-Bukhari (2067) and Muslim (2557).

And the hadith from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), where the Prophet (ﷺ) said to her: "Whoever has been given a share of gentleness has been given a share of the goodness of this world and the Hereafter. Maintaining family ties, good character, and good neighborliness build homes and increase lifespans." Recorded by Ahmad (25259), and it is an authentic hadith.

And the hadith from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), where the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Learn enough about your family line to maintain your ties of kinship, for maintaining family ties brings love among the relatives, wealth, and a longer life." Recorded by At-Tirmidhi (1979) and authenticated by Shaykh Al-Albani (may Allah have mercy on him) in "As-Sahihah" (276).

▪️The esteemed scholar Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen (رحمه الله) was asked:

Question - A man marries a woman with the intention of making her lawful for her first husband to remarry her, what is the ruling on her returning to the first husband?

➡️First, we say that this man who married her is like a “Tees" Do you know what a "Tees" is? (The questioner responds: A male goat, sheikh.) The sheikh replies: In this context, he’s called a “rented goat.”

➡️Second, if the first husband is aware of this arrangement or has agreed to it, then the Prophet () said: "May Allah curse the one who marries a woman and divorces her so that she becomes permissible for her first husband." Both of them are cursed and expelled from Allah's mercy.

➡️Third, the marriage to the second man is invalid, and any intimate relations with the woman in that context are considered adultery.

➡️Fourth, this woman does not become lawful for the first husband because, as Allah said: "until she marries another husband" [ 2:230], and in this case, the second man is not considered a proper husband since the marriage itself is void.

If this situation is happening, inform them that both the second man and the first husband (if he agreed to this) are cursed. The second man must repent sincerely to Allah, and the woman does not become permissible for the first husband. Pass this message to them, and In sha Allah you are trustworthy in delivering it.

Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) said:

"The important matter is not that you love Allah, but that Allah loves you. And Allah will not love you unless you follow His beloved Prophet ﷺ outwardly and inwardly, believe in what he informs, obey his commands, respond to his calls, prefer him willingly, and surrender to his judgment over the judgment of others. You must also give up love for others in favor of your love for him, and forsake obedience to anyone else in favor of obedience to him. If you do not achieve this, do not exhaust yourself further. Return and seek light elsewhere, for you are upon nothing.

Reflect on His saying: 'Follow me, and Allah will love you.' The key is that Allah loves you, not that you love Him. And you will only attain this by following the beloved Prophet ﷺ."

One of the fundamental principles of Ahlus-Sunnah is to boycott the people of innovation, during their lifetime as well as AFTER THEIR DEATH

BENEFIT 248: How do we boycott innovators after their death?

1. We refrain from visiting them when they fall sick (unless one sees this as an opportunity to advise them - as was the case with Sheikh Fawzān when he visited ’Ā'iḍh Al-Qarni)

2. We rejoice at their demise
https://t.me/almanhajussalafi/848

3. We refrain from praying over their Janāzah (as long as there's someone to pray over them)

4. We refrain from openly seeking forgiveness and mercy for them

5. We refrain from praising them and mentioning their virtues publicly

6. We refrain from spreading and reading their books
