See how dangerous these beliefs are. They can lead a person straight to Jahannum.

That’s why learning Aqeedah is the top priority and the most important subject.

If you truly want to be saved from Hellfire, then you must have the right Aqeedah in your heart.

If you truly believe that only this taweez will protect you from evil, then it is major shirk (which takes you out of Islam). However, if you believe that Allah is the one who protects you, and the taweez is merely a means through which He grants protection, then it is minor shirk. Although minor shirk does not take you out of Islam, you will still be committing shirk and will go to Jahannum if you do not repent.

Evil eye is haq. Kids can get evil eye very easily as they don't do the daily Dhikr to protect themselves. Another thing to remember is to not boast about your kids achievements to others. People can give the evil eye without even realising it. Many don't know to say "Allahumma baarik lahu or laha" ie May Allah bless him or her which is what we should say to protect others from our own evil eyes.

Sister, why do you put unnecessary pressure on young men who are working hard to build their lives, all in the name of 'I want to marry a well-established man'?

Was your father financially stable at 25 or 28? Was he a homeowner or driving a fancy car at that age?

Some sisters really need to be freed from the chains of delusion.

Fear and Grief and Sorrow

Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali (rahimahullah) mentioned the following quote in one of his smaller writings:

Ibrahim al-Taymi (rahimahullah) said:

Whoever does not experience any grief should fear that he will be one of the people of the hellfire because the people of Jannah say

"All praise is to Allah who has removed grief from us." [Faatir 34]

and whoever does not experience fear should fear that he will not be one of the people of Jannah because the people of Jannah say

"Indeed, we were previously fearful while with our people." [al-Toor 26]

[al-Takhweef min al-Nar page 17]

Sufyan ath-Thawri (rahimahillah) said:

It has reached us—and Allah knows best— that most of the good deeds that the Believer will find written in his book (of record of good deeds) on the Day of Ressurection, are Worry/Sorrow and Grief (on account of his patience upon them).

[Hilyat ul-Awliyaa, 7/50, Abu Nuaym (rahimahullah)]

The meaning of this narration is that, everytime a Believer encounters hardship or is tested, causing him to grieve, will be an expiation for his sins and a cause for him to enter Paradise.

𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘀 & 𝗜𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗺𝘀 (48):
Shann found his match in Ṭabaqah.

Usage: The saying is used to describe the harmony and agreement in thought and intellect between individuals when they come together in a shared endeavour, event, or life circumstance, marked by agreement in actions and prudence in speech.

Context: The story behind this proverb originates from a wise Arab man named Shann. Desiring marriage, he declared, "By Allāh, I will travel until I find a woman who matches my intellect to marry." While on his quest, he encountered a man travelling along the same road. Shann asked him about his destination, to which the man replied, "To such-and-such a place." Shann decided to accompany him.

As they journeyed together, Shann asked the man,
"Will you carry me, or shall I carry you?" The man, perplexed, replied, "Foolish one, I am riding, and you are riding; how can I carry you or you carry me?" Shann remained silent and continued walking.

As they approached their destination, they came across a field of ripe crops ready for harvest. Shann asked,
"Do you think this crop has been eaten or not?" The man responded, "Foolish one, you see a ripe field and ask if it has been eaten or not?" Once again, Shann fell silent.

When they arrived at the village, they encountered a funeral procession. Shann asked,
"Do you think the person in this coffin is alive or dead?" The man was astonished at the question and found it absurd.

Upon reaching the village, the man insisted that Shann accompany him to his house. The man had a daughter named Ṭabaqah. When the man recounted to her the strange conversations he had with Shann, she said, "Father, he is not foolish. Regarding his question, 'Will you carry me, or shall I carry you?' he meant: Shall I talk to you, or will you talk to me so that we may pass the journey without being effected by its long journey?

"As for his question about the field, 'Has it been eaten or not?' he meant: Has the crop been sold, and its owners eaten its price, or not?

"And concerning the funeral procession, he was asking: Did the deceased leave behind children to keep his memory alive, or did he leave no descendants?"

Realising the wisdom behind Shann's questions, the man went to him, sat down, and shared his daughter's interpretations of the questions. Shann immediately remarked, "This is not your explanation; whose words are these?" The man admitted, "They are my daughter Ṭabaqah's words."

Upon hearing of her wisdom and intelligence, Shann asked for her hand in marriage. The man agreed and married his daughter to Shann, who took her to his people. When they observed her intellect and sagacity, they said,

for this reason, Allah placed (the pronouncement of) divorce in the hands of al-rajul (ie: the man),

otherwise the woman may pass by a man she likes and (begin to) look down on her husband and say: “I want you to leave me.”

If the divorce were in the hands of baʿḍ al-nisāʾ (ie: some women), she would have divorced her husband twenty times in one day.

Meri nasihat hai behno ke liye, jitna Allah apko duniya mein de raha hai, bas usmein khush rehna seekho. Luxury life apne ko yahan nahi milne wali. In sha Allah, asli luxury life akhirat mein milegi.
Agar banda zyada nahi kamata, toh bhi agar halal kamata hai, Allah us kamayi mein barkat daal dete hain, jo hamari zarurat ke liye kaafi hoti hai.
Isliye ek sincere aur strictly practising banda choose karo jo halal kama ke aapko provide kar sakhte. 😄

Growth brings change.

The one isn't happening without the other.

Your mindset is changing, your habits are changing, your ways are changing, your conversations are changing, the places you go and the things you do are changing. This automatically starts to create a distance between you and the friends who aren't growing with you. It's a separation of path, a separation for the vision you hold for the future. And the difference between this eventual separation and a manual cut offs is, you're usually cutting people off because you have an issue with them - but when you're growing, you're organically being separated from people you have no issues at all with. In fact, some of them are gonna be family and friends you care for the most.

It's nothing personal, it's just personal.

Some of them aren't going to like it, and initially aren't going to accept it. They're gonna think you're acting brand new, and the truth is - you're becoming a brand new version of yourself. And the people who truly care for you will get over their moment of selfishness. In the the end, everyone will respect your transformation. Trust me. Because, growth looks good on anyone.

Glad tidings for the people of Islam

No matter how much the plotters plot or how much those who await (for the downfall of Islam) await from the Jews and the Christians, and those with them from the disbelievers and apostates/atheists.

The future is for Islam and Islam will not come to an end until Allāh sends a wind in which the souls of the believers will be taken.

This is the promise of Allāh and Allāh does not break His promises until even after the Qur’ān is taken up, and even though the people in those times will be in severe ignorance, you will find amongst the Muslims one who will be saying

("None has the right to be worshiped in truth except Allāh").

You may see some people enjoying the dunya while not practicing or worshipping Allah. They disobey Him and anger Him by doing things that displease Him. Yet, they remain in a state of well-being and continue to receive provision from Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala.

These individuals are engrossed in the dunya, negligent about their deen. For such people, Allah may leave them to this fleeting and ugly world.

They may enjoy it now, but in the Akhirah, they will have nothing.

(Naudhubillah min dhalik)

But Allah does not leave some of His slaves to this fleeting world. Whenever their hearts become inclined towards the dunya, He sends them calamities as a means to turn back and repent to their Rabb.

He does not let His slaves go astray, nor does He grant them the dunya while they persist in disobedience. They will only receive their share of the dunya, their rizq, through obedience to Him.

🖋 Saying ‘Wallāhi’ A Lot

Sh. Ibn ʿUthaymeen:

“Abundantly swearing by Allāh is a proof that the person taking oath has no respect for Allāh in his heart which is required to fear Him,

And no doubt respect for Allāh is from the PERFECTION OF TAWḤEED.”

"Marriage is a blessing that will not come from forbidden relationships under the guise of 'love.' Whoever disobeys Allah will face consequences for it, beginnings that do not please Allah will not lead to endings that please you."

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Let not the delay in provision lead you to seek it through disobedience to Allah, for what is with Allah can only be attained through obedience to Him."

How To Think About Your Future

Growing up, I had this friend who was probably the most positive-thinking person I had ever met. At the turn of every new year, if we passed by a very exotic car, he would say - with so much certainty - that he was sure he would buy a similar car by the end of the year.

It has been over ten years, and the last time I asked, he still has not bought even a bicycle.

You see if you are the kind that visualizes a very good future for yourself often - a happy marriage, rich and wealthy, first class in school - you are very likely to not have that desired future.

A lot of research shows that visualizing your future decreases the chances of attaining your dream.

Strange, but do you know why?
Because when you keep visualizing a very beautiful future and you come across obstacles, you will be too tormented to do the real work that's required. Your mind is already filled with beautiful and smooth images of the "perfect future".

So what should we do? Think bad of our future? No!

What you should do instead of just visualizing your future is visualizing the work you have to do to attain the kind of future you desire, so you think about a beautiful future in light of what you have to do NOW.

For example, if you always think of yourself with a beautiful marriage where your spouse respects and loves you, and everything is peaceful, always garnish it with thoughts of the hard work you have to do now: the things you need to learn that'd make your spouse respect you, the way you have to be with Allah that'd make Allah ease your marriage life for you and choose for you a good spouse.

If you always envision having bright kids who are people-smart, book-smart, God-fearing, knowledgeable etc... border your thoughts with the hard work you have to put in: the time and attention you have to give them, the things you need to know, the way you have to be.

If you're not like this - always envisioning a bright future along with the price you'd have to pay for the brightness - you are likely to end up like my old friend, renewing his hopes every year but never attaining his dream.

Unaccountable Scrolling, Explore Pages and Reels - “He Ruins Himself in Between The Glances” (On Lowering the Gaze)

Ibn al-Qayyim

"He became bored of safety and his glances enhanced — standing by a ruined home, yet he thinks it's beautiful

He continues to glance one after the other — until he ruins himself in between the glances."

The Right Mindset Before Marriage Makes A Long-term Difference

A man complained to Sufyān ibn ‘Uyaynah that he married a woman and has since become the most humiliated and insignificant thing in her eyes—meaning she belittles him. Sufyān enquired, "Perhaps you sought her in marriage to increase your status?" The man replied, "Yes." Sufyān then said, "Whoever seeks status will be afflicted with humiliation, whoever seeks wealth will be afflicted with poverty, but WHOEVER SEEKS RELIGION, ALLAH WILL GRANT HIM STATUS and WEALTH along with RELIGION ."

Narrated Abu Shuraih Al-Ka`bi:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should serve his guest generously. The guest's reward is: To provide him with a superior type of food for a night and a day and a guest is to be entertained with food for three days, and whatever is offered beyond that, is regarded as something given in charity. And it is not lawful for a guest to stay with his host for such a long period so as to put him in a critical position."

No matter the pressures or difficulties you face in life, whether due to external circumstances or personal struggles, never ever consider doing one of three things:

- ترك الصلاة
- هجر القرآن
- ترك صحبة الصالحين
- Abandoning prayer
- Neglecting the Quran
- Leaving the company of the righteous

These three actions, I swear, are the beginning of ruin. They are steps that the devil uses to lead people away from their faith entirely.

No matter the sadness or despair you feel, turn to the prayer, the Quran, and the companionship of those who sincerely seek Allah's pleasure. Be patient with them to attain salvation, and do not let your eyes stray toward the distractions of worldly life. Do not obey those whose hearts we have turned away from the remembrance of Allah and who follow their own desires, leading them to destruction!

Know that all truth comes from your Lord, so cling to Him, cast your burdens at His feet, and seek comfort in His love, not in reliance on others.
Acknowledge your weakness and helplessness, for He will strengthen you with His power.

Stay close to your loved ones, support them, and be there for them, for a person is weak on their own but strong with their brothers. Although trials may be great, they become easier with companionship. If the value of companionship was not so high, Allah would not have commanded us to pray in congregation and attend Friday prayers.

So, be loving toward others, compassionate, and close to the righteous.

If you love your brother for Allah's sake, let him know, ask for his prayers, and seek sincere advice, for both of you need it. Reflect on this, act upon it, and rely on Allah for peace in your heart to find happiness and comfort.

✍️ Knowledge is taken from the teacher

1️⃣ The correct way to acquire knowledge is by taking it from scholars specialized in that field, not from social media or the internet. Those sources may generate doubts. (From the course "Mukhtasar Adda' wa-ddawa")

2️⃣ If a person seeks knowledge from books or the internet without a teacher, their example would be like that of Hakeem Tuma who read the phrase "black seed حبة السوداءis a cure for every illness" as "black snake حية السوداء is a cure for every illness," because he acquired knowledge without a teacher. (From the book "Hilyatu Talib Al-Ilm")

Whoever takes knowledge from a Shaykh directly
Will be safe from deviation and distortion
But whoever takes knowledge solely from books
Their knowledge, according to the people of knowledge, is as nothing

I will be resurrected from my grave alone. I will be taken to account alone.”

Why I left Salafiyyah...

__

Those who deliver lectures and share posts like this reveal their misunderstanding of Salafiyyah, indicating they were never truly aligned with it.

Their motivations often arise from a desire for fame and a following, aiming to position themselves as more knowledgeable than others.

They frequently recount their personal experiences, portraying themselves as a once rude and ignorant youth during their time as a "salafi."

Now, having "seen the light," they seek to reveal why, in their view, Salafiyyah was misguided. What they fail to recognize is that they have merely revealed their own ignorance and shortcomings.

1. Salafiyyah is not tied to any individual or group; it represents a methodology for interpreting the Quran and Sunnah through the lens of the Companions Even if no "salafi" were alive today, Salafiyyah would remain as a method of understanding the texts, independent of any specific group identity.

2. Do not blame a methodology for your own character flaws and deficiencies. This is a form of deflection—shifting the blame onto others rather than confronting your own mistakes.

It is crucial to recognize and address your personal struggles first; only then can you grow as an individual. Otherwise, you'll continue to cycle through the same issues, seeking new scapegoats for your shortcomings.

3. If you're struggling to acquire knowledge, take responsibility for it. Don't blame scholars for your weakness, laziness, and possibly lack of understanding.

In Saudi Arabia, there are numerous scholars who excel in various fields and systematically build their students into scholars. I've traveled and studied in over 30+ cities in this country to attest to this personally. If you can't get past the beginning stages, then once again, don't blame others.

The only authentic way to comprehend Islam is through the understanding of the Quran and Sunnah as interpreted by the Sahabah, and this is Salafiyyah.

My advice to everyone is to remain vigilant against those who seek to mislead you. Continuously seek Allah's guidance and protection, and learn sincerely from knowledgeable scholars and their students. Avoid listening to randoms and reading their content, as this is a key factor in the spread of ignorance, misguidance, and misinformation.
