➼ Every year on 10 December, 'International Human Rights Day' is celebrated all over the world. The United Nations declared 10 December as Human Rights Day in 1950, the purpose of which is to make people around the world aware of the importance of human rights and to give the message of being vigilant towards its observance.
हर वर्ष 10 दिसंबर को दुनियाभर में ‘अंतरराष्ट्रीय मानवाधिकार दिवस’ मनाया जाता है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने 1950 में 10 दिसंबर को मानवाधिकार दिवस घोषित किया था, जिसका उद्देश्य विश्वभर के लोगों को मानवाधिकारों के महत्व के प्रति जागरूक करना और इसके पालन के प्रति सजग रहने का संदेश देना है।

➼ The Government of India has appointed Revenue Secretary ' Sanjay Malhotra' as the next Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Sanjay Malhotra is a 1990 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS officer. He studied engineering from IIT Kanpur and did his masters from Princeton University . Sanjay Malhotra will take charge as the new Governor of RBI on December 11, 2024. His tenure will be for the next 3 years. He will be the 26th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India.
भारत सरकार ने राजस्व सचिव ‘संजय मल्होत्रा’(Sanjay Malhotra) को रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया RBI) का अगला गवर्नर नियुक्त किया है। संजय मल्होत्रा 1990 बैच के राजस्थान कैडर के IAS अधिकारी हैं। उन्होंने IIT कानपुर से इंजीनियरिंग की पढ़ाई की और प्रिंसटन यूनिवर्सिटी से मास्टर्स किया है। संजय मल्होत्रा 11 दिसंबर, 2024 को RBI के नए गवर्नर के तौर पर कार्यभार संभालेंगे। उनका कार्यकाल अगले 3 साल के लिए होगा। वह भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के 26वें गवर्नर होंगे।

➼ President Draupadi Murmu will address the event organised by the National Human Rights Commission on the occasion of Human Rights Day on December 10 in New Delhi .

➼ According to Justice B.R. Gavai,Supreme Court judge and acting chairman of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), more than 7.70 crore cases have been settled  by organizing three National Lok Adalats this year .

➼ According to the World Gold Council, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has become the largest gold buying bank compared to central banks around the world. Let us tell you that in October 2024, central banks around the world bought 60 tonnes of gold, in which the Reserve Bank of India was at the forefront by buying 27 tonnes of gold. With this, the country's gold reserves have increased to 882 tonnes, out of which 510 tonnes of gold is present in the country itself.
वर्ल्ड गोल्ड काउंसिल के अनुसार ‘रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया’ (RBI) दुनियाभर के केंद्रीय बैंकों की तुलना में सबसे ज्यादा सोना खरीदने वाला बैंक बना है। बता दें कि अक्टूबर, 2024 में दुनियाभर के केंद्रीय बैंकों ने 60 टन सोना खरीदा, जिसमें रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया 27 टन सोना खरीदने के साथ सबसे आगे रहा। इसके साथ ही देश का स्वर्ण भंडार बढ़कर 882 टन पहुंच गया है, जिसमें से 510 टन सोना देश में ही मौजूद है।

➼ Union Health Minister JP Nadda will launch a ' 100- Day Intensive Campaign' in Panchkula, Haryana on December 7 to tackle the challenges of TB cases and mortality in the country . The initiative will be implemented in 347 districts of 29 states and union territories to detect TB cases, accelerate diagnosis and improve treatment outcomes.
केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री जेपी नड्डा देश में टीबी मामलों और मृत्यु दर की चुनौतियों से निपटने के लिए 7 दिसंबर को हरियाणा के पंचकूला में ‘100 दिवसीय गहन अभियान’ (100-Day Campaign) का शुभारंभ करेंगे। टीबी मामलों का पता लगाने, निदान में तेजी लाने और उपचार के परिणामों में सुधार लाने के लिए यह पहल 29 राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के 347 जिलों में लागू की जाएगी।

➼ According to provisional data from the Health Management Information System of the 'Ministry of Health and Family Welfare', the sex ratio (SRB) in the country is expected to increase from 918 in 2014-15 to 930 in 2023-24.

➼ India will chair the 68th session of the ' United Nations Commission on Drug Control' . In Vienna, the capital of Austria, India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Shambu Kumaran, took over as the Chairman of the Commission on 06 December. Let us tell you that this is the first time that India has been nominated to chair this important institution of the United Nations.

➼ India's foreign exchange reserves have increased by $1.51 billion to $658.9 billionin the week ended November 29. This increase has been mainly due to the increase in foreign currency assets which have now reached $568.85 billion.

➼ The Defense Ministry has signed an agreement with ' Cochin Shipyard Limited' on November 30. According to this, ' INS Vikramaditya' will be repaired at a cost of more than one thousand two hundred crore rupees. 
रक्षा मंत्रालय ने 30 नवंबर को ‘कोचीन शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड’ के साथ एक समझौते पर हस्‍ताक्षर किए है। इसके अनुसार एक हजार दो सौ करोड़ रुपये की अधिक की लागत से ‘आईएनएस विक्रमादित्‍य’ (INS Vikramaditya) की मरम्‍मत की जाएगी। 

➼ The joint military exercise ' Agni Warrior 2024' of the Indian Armed Forces and the Singapore Armed Forces concluded on 30 November in Deolali, Maharashtra. This three-day exercise started on 28 November.

➼ Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate  the three-day ' Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav 2024' at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on December 6 .
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी 6 दिसंबर को नई दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में तीन दिवसीय ‘अष्टलक्ष्मी महोत्सव 2024’ का उद्घाटन करेंगे। 

➼ According to the Central Government, till November 25, about 14 lakh ' Ayushman Vaya Vandan Cards' have been issued for senior citizens aged 70 years and above under Ayushman Bharat -Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana .
केंद्र सरकार के अनुसार 25 नवंबर तक आयुष्मान भारत- प्रधानमंत्री जन आरोग्य योजना के अंतर्गत 70 वर्ष और उससे अधिक आयु के वरिष्ठ नागरिकों के लिए लगभग 14 लाख ‘आयुष्मान वय वंदन कार्ड’ जारी किए गए हैं।

➼ According to the central government, about 7 crore 43 lakh beneficiaries have been registered under the ' Universal Immunization Program' -UIP. Under this program, pregnant women and children up to 16 years of age are given vaccines to prevent 12 life-threatening diseases.
केंद्र सरकार के अनुसार ‘सार्वभौमिक टीकाकरण कार्यक्रम’-UIP के तहत लगभग 7 करोड़ 43 लाख लाभार्थियों को पंजीकृत किया गया है। इस कार्यक्रम के तहत गर्भवती महिलाओं और 16 वर्ष तक के बच्चों को 12 जीवन-घातक बीमारियों की रोकथाम के टीके दिए जाते हैं।

➼ The Central Government and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have signed a loan agreement of 98 million dollars for horticulture farmers. This agreement will enable farmers to obtain disease-free certified planting material and will help in increasing the productivity and quality of fruits and dealing with the effects of climate change.
केंद्र सरकार और ‘एशियाई विकास बैंक’ (ADB) ने बागवानी से जुड़े किसानों के लिए 9 करोड़ 80 लाख डॉलर के ऋण समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। इस समझौते से किसानों को रोग मुक्‍त प्रमाणित रोपण सामग्री प्राप्‍त हो सकेगी और फलों की उत्‍पादकता, गुणवत्‍ता बढ़ाने तथा जलवायु परिवर्तन के असर से निपटने में सहायता मिलेगी।

➼ The Central Government has set a target of opening 25 thousand Jan Aushadhi Centers across the country by March 2027 under the ' Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Project' -PMBJP.
केंद्र सरकार ने ‘प्रधानमंत्री भारतीय जन औषधि परियोजना’-PMBJP के अंतर्गत मार्च 2027 तक देशभर में 25 हजार जन औषधि केंद्र खोलने का लक्ष्य रखा है।

➼ The Central Government has approved the proposal for  nine 'One Stop Centres' -OSCs to assist Indian women in distress abroad .

सर्वोच्‍च न्‍यायालय के आदेश अनुसार दिल्ली में गंभीर वायु गुणवत्ता से निपटने के लिए वर्तमान में लागू ‘ग्रेडेड रिस्पांस एक्शन प्लान’ का चौथा चरण दो दिसंबर तक जारी रहेगा। 

➼ Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a three-day visit to Odisha from November 29. He will attend several events, including the All India Conference of Directors General of Police and Inspectors General of Police, held at the Lok Seva Bhavan in the capital Bhubaneswar.

➼ The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has approved 500 new Panchayat Ghar i.e. ' Gram Parishad Office' in Jammu and Kashmir . State Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Secretary Mohammad Ejaz Asad announced this on 28 November.

➼ The Central Government has approved 40 projects worth about Rs 3,300 crore to develop 'famous tourist destinations' in the country as per global standards.

➼ India and Maldives will now transact in their respective currencies i.e. Rupee and Rufiyaa. The agreement to this effect has been signed by Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das and Maldives Monetary Authority Governor Ahmed Munawar in Mumbai.
