Job Title: Scrum Master

Key Responsibilities:
1.Agile Facilitation & Mentorship:
• Guide and coach the development team on Agile/Scrum principles to deliver high-quality software.
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure the team follows Agile practices and frameworks to improve collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
2. Sprint Management & Backlog Grooming:
• Assist the Product Owner with managing the product backlog, refining user stories, and prioritizing tasks.
• Track sprint progress and ensure that the team meets sprint goals and deadlines.
• Work with the team to manage capacity, forecast sprint workloads, and adjust timelines as necessary.
3. Stakeholder Communication:
• Act as a point of contact between the development team, Project Manager, and stakeholders to provide updates on project status, impediments, and risks.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment between technical delivery and project timelines by regularly reviewing progress with the Project Manager.
4. Impediment Removal:
• Identify and remove impediments that slow down or block team progress, escalating issues when necessary.
• Act as a mediator to resolve conflicts that may arise within the team.
5. Process Improvement:
• Continuously improve team productivity by analyzing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing process improvements.
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement through regular sprint retrospectives and actionable feedback loops.
6. Tool Management:
• Maintain and manage Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
• Ensure that team members update tasks regularly to provide accurate project status information.
• Set up dashboards and reporting features to track sprint progress and velocity.
7. Collaboration & Alignment:
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure that technical deliveries are aligned with the overall project strategy.
• Facilitate cross-functional coordination within the team to ensure all dependencies are accounted for and managed.
• Help in aligning the team’s work with company-wide goals and priorities.
8. Metrics & Reporting:
• Use Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down charts) to provide clear insights into team progress and capacity.
• Share key performance indicators with the Project Manager and senior management to ensure project visibility.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and proficiency in tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar project management software.
• Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification preferred.
