As we are about to enter the third calendar year of the ongoing genocide, many are still citing statistics that 45,000 Palestinians have been killed in the past 450+ days. But in an interview on December 30th 2024, Dr. Ghassan Abu-Sittah confirmed what some medical experts have been saying for months: that the actual “number [of martyrs] is closer to 300,000,” or “around 10 to 12% of Gaza’s population.”

On Monday January 6th people will be calling out sick in New York City and across the U.S. alongside health care workers to take part in mobilizations for Gaza under the slogan “Sick From Genocide.”

Within Our Lifetime has answered that call, alongside Doctors Against Genocide and Healthcare Workers for Palestine. Join us in the streets in Manhattan on January 6th at 2 pm in front of NYU Tisch Hospital:📍550 1st Ave. New York, NY.

On January 6th, we call on workers, students, and everyone to take a day for their health—physical, mental, and moral. Use your sick days, your mental health days, or unpaid leave to join this mass protest. We call on doctors to give notes to those who need them to call out. This is not just about your health—it is about drawing a line and disrupting the machinery of apathy that allows these crimes to continue unchecked.

This is about action grounded in reality:
• The reality that hospitals are sacred spaces meant for healing, not targets of war.
• The reality that healthcare workers like Dr. Hussam embody our shared commitment to life itself, and their abduction is a crime against all of us.
• The reality that global silence enables genocide.
• The reality that Gaza’s destruction is a political choice—and resisting it is our moral obligation.

We cannot “go on as normal” while the systematic destruction of Gaza unfolds. Our bodies bear the weight of this violence, even from afar. Let us use our collective exhaustion, our heartbreak, and our anger as tools of resistance. Mobilizing, attending rallies, organizing teach-ins, or doing outreach on this day is not a luxury or a privilege—it is a necessity for our shared survival and humanity.

Together, we can turn our sickness into strength, our grief into defiance, and our solidarity into a force too powerful to ignore. For the people of Gaza. For the preservation of healthcare as a human right. For Dr. Hussam and all those who fight to save lives in the face of unimaginable violence. Take the day. Resist.

Sick from genocide: On January 6th take a sick day to stand against the Destruction of Life and Healthcare in Gaza

The genocide in Gaza is not just a distant crisis—it is a direct assault on life itself. that strikes at the core of our collective humanity. The bombings of hospitals, the targeting of healthcare workers, and the abduction of Dr. Hussam Abu Sufiya from Kamal Adwan Hospital are not just assaults on Gaza—they are assaults on the very essence of care, healing, and life itself. These are crimes that reverberate globally, leaving us all wounded.

We are sick.
Sick with grief.
Sick with rage.
Sick with helplessness as we watch the deliberate dismantling of Gaza’s healthcare and the global silence that enables it.

But this sickness has a name: it is moral injury. And we refuse to stand by and let it fester in silence.

The Palestinian Authority initiated the siege of Jenin Camp under the pretext that it is filled with “outlaws." In truth, it is a camp of heroism, steadfastly focused on liberating Palestine from the zionist occupation, rather than being drawn into the internal strife that the PA and zionist forces seek to provoke across the West Bank.

As the zionist forces are being humiliated in Gaza, under US and "israeli" supervision, the Palestinian Authority was sent to suppress the resistance in Jenin. The PA’s ongoing siege led to the martyrdom of six Palestinians, as it continues to target Palestinians in the camp, whether they are resistance fighters or "civilians." In reality, there is no distinction between resistance fighters and “civilians.” Every Palestinian is a resistance fighter, whether resisting with an Expo marker like Refaat Al-Areer or with a camera like the journalist, Shatha Al-Sabbagh, the sixth martyr to ascend due to the ongoing treacherous siege of Jenin Camp. Shatha is the sister of the martyr Motasem Al-Sabbagh, who ascended on March 7, 2023, at the hands of the occupation forces. Today, Shatha was martyred by the same evil—the "Palestinian" Authority. Shatha used her voice to defend her camp, heroically ascending to martyrdom while advocating for the truth, an act that made her a target of the PA forces.

Since its inception, the Palestinian Authority has always been used as a tool to expand the zionist project, and submit to US Imperialism. From Oslo to the current siege of Jenin Camp, the Palestinian Authority has always been and will always remain the enemy of the Palestinian cause as it is participating in the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people.

The Palestinian Authority, which serves zionism rather than representing Palestine, remains a barrier to complete liberation and attempts to obstruct the resistance from achieving its goals. However, history has always proven that the resistance will prevail and come out victorious as it is the resistance that truly represents the masses of the homeland.

Today would have marked the 55th birthday of Khaled Nabhan and the 5th birthday of his beloved granddaughter, Reem Ali Badwan.

Reem, known as "the soul of his soul," was tragically martyred at just two and a half years old in Gaza during the relentless Israeli airstrikes in November 2023.

Thirteen months later, only eight days before his birthday, Khaled Nabhan was also martyred by the same zionist forces that took Reem’s life.

Reem, born on her grandfather’s birthday, brought joy to Khaled’s life. From the moment she was born, she embodied everything beautiful to him. He embraced her tightly and told her mother at the time, “Reem is mine, and I am hers… I would carefully choose her clothes and toys and provide for all her needs.”

Rather than confronting the foreign occupation forces, they focus on suppressing resistance from Jenin Camp to the Gaza Strip, while the so-called “outlaws” of Jenin Camp remain steadfast in their commitment to the liberation of Palestine.

The ongoing siege of Jenin Camp is being carried out under the "Fenzel Plan", a security strategy developed by Michael Fenzel, the U.S. Security Coordinator between “israel” and the “Palestinian” Authority. Fenzel’s plan seeks to suppress resistance in the region to pave the way for peace deals, normalization, and coordination with the occupation. However, this plan is bound to fail, much like the Oslo Accords, as the people of Palestine have consistently rejected plans of normalization while supporting resistance. This is the reality not only in Jenin Camp but across the entire West Bank, where the idea of capitulation has been rejected, and the principled idea of resistance continues to be embraced by the masses.

Local sources have reported that Fenzel met with the PA security forces before the operation in Jenin. It is also no surprise that this campaign is being carried out after the IOF has repeatedly failed to defeat the resistance in Jenin Camp. As a result of the PA's ongoing siege, Rebhi Shalabi, Yazid Ja'ayseh, and the child Mohammed Al-Amer ascended to martyrdom. As the siege continues, families are deprived of water and electricity. Children are being denied access to education, and journalists are being silenced to prevent them from reporting on the situation.

The people of Jenin Camp remain steadfast, confident in the resistance that will pave the path to victory. Despite being pursued by PA forces and the IOF, they are supported by the mothers of martyrs and the children of Jenin Camp, who envision a future where their homeland is fully liberated from all forms of occupation, including the traitorous “Palestinian” Authority.

For over two weeks, the traitorous “Palestinian” Authority forces continue their siege on Jenin Camp, the cradle of resistance. Jenin is not just the cradle of resistance but it is also the cradle of loyalty to the people of Palestine. Since October 7, Jenin has been targeted for its actions in solidarity with Gaza. However, the suppression of resistance in Jenin Camp predates October 7, as the camp has long been a target of the occupation forces and now it is a target of the PA forces, who justify their treacherous actions by labeling the resistance as “outlaws”, the same term used by the occupation forces when pursuing fighters in the West Bank. In reality, it is the PA forces who are the outlaws as they have repeatedly betrayed the Palestinian cause and abandoned Gaza.

On day 437 of the zionist genocide in Gaza, with over 200,000 martyrs and counting, we honor Sheikh Khaled Nabhan, or “Abu Diaa”. Righteous soul and grandfather of Reem, our three year old martyr who was murdered by the occupation just a year prior, who Abu Diaa called the “Spirit of my Spirit”.

Nabhan was martyred alongside 4 others, he was a devout Muslim with a heart of gold and beloved to everyone he met. Before the egregious zionist entity murdered him, he was helping rescuers and medics take care of injured Palestinian children, playing with them, feeding cats, wandering through campsites and hospitals, feeding communities, spreading joy, hope, and love with a smile on his face that remains in tact as he goes back to be reunited with Reem.

LOCATION: 141 Flushing Avenue, Building 77

We call on all community members, neighbors, workers, and people of conscience to join in the demand to shut down Crye Precision and Easy Aerial and pressure the BNYDC to evict genocide profiteers.

The time to act is now! From every corner of the U.S. empire, it is our duty to rise for Palestine to disrupt and dismantle the genocide supply chain.  Over 300,000 Palestinians in Gaza have been murdered by U.S. weapons and war technology, such as quadcopter drones and military gear manufactured by Easy Aerial and Crye Precision in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

For months now, we have demanded that the BNYDC cut ties with genocide, war, and weapons manufacturing, but have only been met with cold silence and cowardice. While the Brooklyn Navy Yard hides behind a facade of art and education, we know they profit from weapons and surveillance technology.

We call on you, people of conscience, to let your rage be known and make your voices heard: Join our noise demo, email + call CEO Lindsey Greene, and take autonomous actions.

Remember, you are not alone!
UNITED, WE WILL SHUT DOWN EASY AERIAL AND CRYE PRECISION!

From Gaza, the Intifada spread to the West Bank, and then on to every corner of historic Palestine. Over the course of the next six years from 1987-1993, the First Intifada was led by the Palestinian masses, who not only took to the streets to protest and resist the occupation, but also formed local committees to organize popular education when schools shut down and coordinated general strikes, economic boycotts of israeli goods and the withholding of taxes to the occupation. Women’s organizations, youth and students and labor unions in particular took a leading role in these committees.

Today, the Intifada continues in the face of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, in the face of the siege and ethnic cleansing of the north, in the face of 76 years of Nakba. Despite the horrors the zionist entity and the U.S. empire have brought upon our people, Palestinians continue to resist and resist and resist: From Beit Lahia to Beit Lahm, from Khan Younis to Tulkarem, from Al-Quds to Nablus, from Rafah to Jenin, from the occupied interior to the camps, to everywhere Palestinians are living in exile. Until liberation and return within our lifetime.

The intifada started in Jabalia and it will once again be victorious in Jabalia 🇵🇸

Today we also join the global call for freedom for Native American political prisoner and elder Leonard Peltier, now 80 years old, who has been unjustly imprisoned since 1976 and is currently serving a life sentence. Leonard’s health has seriously declined in recent years and he was just released from hospitalization in late October, just months after he was denied parole most recently in July 2024.

Like Mumia Abu-Jamal, the Holy Land Foundation 5 and so many of our political prisoners, Leonard is faced with the reality that if he is not freed, he will die in prison.

As Leonard wrote in 1999 in his collection of Prison Writings, “When the oppressors succeed with their illegal thefts and depredations, it's called colonialism. When their efforts to colonize indigenous peoples are met with resistance or anything but abject surrender, it's called war. When the colonized peoples attempt to resist their oppression and defend themselves, we're called criminals.”

Leonard’s ongoing struggle for freedom is an urgent reminder that the struggle of Indigenous people across Turtle Island, the struggle of political prisoners worldwide and the struggle for Palestine is all part of the same fight.

Free Leonard Peltier! Free Mumia! Free The HLF5! Free Them All!

What is for some a day of celebration is for Native Americans a National Day of Mourning. It is with this in mind that we reiterate that if not for the genocide of Indigenous and African people and the theft of the land we now stand on, there would be no U.S. empire. And if there was no U.S. empire, there would no zionist entity currently occupying Palestine. Day 408 — At least 96 Palestinians have been martyred since dawn today in multiple massacres across Gaza, including 72 killed in a single air strike on a residential building in Beit Lahia. Dozens more are missing and injured as the zionist entity continues its extermination campaign in the northern Gaza Strip with the full backing of the Biden-Harris administration in their final days in office. Reports out of Jabalia have also exposed that the IOF is using robots and explosive barrels to blow up homes. While the world moves on and the mainstream media in the U.S. is now fixated on Trump, these daily massacres are a reminder that the true number of casualties in the ongoing genocide is beyond what we think. Until the siege on the north has been broken, until all of Gaza has been liberated, and until every inch of Palestine is free, our people will continue to resist by any means necessary.

According to the court's ruling today, he is scheduled to be released on December 6th under the condition that he leaves France. However, the American government has historically stood as an obstacle preventing his release for decades. This obstacle remains as the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office expressed plans to appeal this decision, so now more than ever before is a critical stage in the campaign for his freedom.

His liberation would mark a powerful turning point in the struggle of political prisoners worldwide and would bring hope to the thousands of revolutionary political prisoners awaiting their release.

This is not the first time the museum has lent its space, its tacit support, and its veneer of prestige to individuals and groups that fuel Zionist terror in Palestine. MoMa’s board of trustees includes Larry Fink, the CEO of Blackrock, an asset management firm with massive investments in companies that supply the Israeli army with equipment; Daniel S. Och, a current member and former chairman of the Birthright Foundation, an organization that sends Jewish youth on free trips to “Israel” to support their indoctrination into Zionism; and Paula Crown, who has stakes in the weapons conglomerate General Dynamics, manufacturer of the MK-84 bombs that the IOF has dropped on Gaza for years.

In 2021, @strikemoma laid out the case against the museum: “MoMA was founded with the oil wealth of the Rockefellers. Since then it has been a clearing house for capital, a showcase for domination and an ecocidal machine. It has diversified in content, but in practice has been an enemy of the poor and the marginalized, the fired and the furloughed, the displaced and dispossessed, the detained and the deported, the dying and the dead.”

MoMA’s affiliations show that the museum is more closely aligned with billionaire warmongers than with working artists in New York City. Down with blood money in the arts! Down with Zionism in our institutions! Free Palestine.

TODAY! ALL OUT TO MOMA TO PROTEST RONALD S. LAUDER AND THE WORLD JEWISH CONGRESS. New York City’s most prominent art institution is allowing genocidaire Ronald S. Lauder to host his Zionist organization’s annual assembly this evening. A MoMA trustee since 1977, Lauder was the president of the settler-colonial “non-profit” known as the Jewish National Fund from 1997 to 2007, and has since served as Chairman and Chairman Emeritus of its board; he became the president of the rabidly pro-Israel World Jewish Congress in 2007. Because of his extensive political and financial support for Zionist occupation, Lauder's company, Estee Lauder Cosmetics, is a longstanding BDS target.

In his speech at last year’s assembly, Lauder said, “The vast majority of Americans support Israel and stand with the Jewish people,” before quoting former president George W. Bush, whose invasion of Iraq killed over a million Arabs, as saying, “There’s only one villain in this conflict, and it's not Israel.”

‼️BDS IS THE FLOOR, NOT THE CEILING‼️

The student movement for Palestine must remain steadfast and firm, not only to continue pushing for divestment from genocide in Gaza but to further build power on campus and go beyond the borders of the university and into the community.

Nerdeen Kiswani speaks on our community’s need for bravery and courage in a time where our tuition and tax dollars are funding genocide and the further colonization of Palestine, amidst constant state and university-sanctioned repression.

“You can’t claim to be an ally while you’re killing us” -Nerdeen Kiswani on the Let’s Talk Palestine Podcast

Students must be UNRELENTING in the fight for divestment. We will not stop, we will not rest 🇵🇸

On Election Day 2024, Within Our Lifetime took to the streets to make it clear that there will be NO VOTES FOR GENOCIDE‼️

Both Harris and Trump are genocidal zionists. We demand an immediate end to all military, political, financial, and diplomatic ties to the zionist entity. Our struggle under a Biden-Harris administration is the same under a Trump administration: to organize for an end to the genocide in Gaza and fight for a free Palestine from the river to the sea within our lifetime 🇵🇸
