WCU-SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

Today orientation was given to the members of the school council on System-Oriented Medical Education (SOME).

The initiative was developed and incorporated into residency curriculum by FMOH in collaboration with MoE with concept of integrating system thinking into medical education.

For the implementation of System-Oriented Medical Education (SOME) two senior staffs of our school attended one week intensive training which was prepared by FMOH at Adama.

To have common understanding orientation was given to members of the school council by Dr Kaleb and Dr Basazin and discussed on way forward.

Trainings on SOME will be given for all Senior staffs on the weeks to come.

We are thrilled to announce that EMSA Wachemo, representing the vibrant student body of the School of Medicine and Wachemo University, has officially achieved full membership status in the Ethiopian Medical Student's Association (EMSA Ethiopia)! This significant milestone reflects the dedication, hard work, and collaborative spirit of everyone involved.

It has been an incredible journey since we were granted candidate membership status a year and four months ago at the 8th National General Assembly of EMSA Ethiopia in Jimma. Over this period, EMSA Wachemo has engaged in extensive projects and partnerships with various stakeholders, all aimed at fulfilling the criteria for full membership. Thanks to this persistent effort, our vision became a reality at the 9th General Assembly.

Becoming a full member brings numerous benefits: we now have the right to vote in national elections for EMSA Ethiopia's officials, a privilege that allows us to have a real impact on the organization’s future direction. We can also represent Wachemo University members on the national stage and even run for national leadership positions. Furthermore, this status grants us the opportunity to host future General Assembly events, providing a platform to showcase our university and contribute to the medical student community nationwide.

We owe this achievement to the unwavering support from the School of Medicine, the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, NEMMCSH officials, and the higher administration of Wachemo University. Your encouragement and belief in our potential have been crucial every step of the way, and for that, we are deeply grateful.

Let’s come together to celebrate this well-earned success and set our sights on even bigger goals!

ሰበር መረጃ- የዘንደሮ ተመራቂ ተማሪዎች exit የሚፈተኑት ከጥር 14-23/2017 ዓ.ም ሲሆን የምረቃ ጊዜያቸው ጥር 24/2017 ዓ.ም መሆኑን በዛሬው ( 04/02/2017 ዓ.ም) በተደረገው የAC ስብሰባ ተወስኗል። ስለዚህ የ GC academic calendar ተስተካክሎ እስኪላክ ከላይ የተገለጸው ጊዜ ታሳቢ እንዲደረግ ለማሳሰብ እንወዳለን።
