Anonymous Course Evaluation Survey - December 1 - 19, 2024
Please be advised that the Class Evaluation period has commenced, and we encourage you to participate to improve your academic and student life experiences at the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean. The University has partnered with the Student Council in revising the course evaluation survey and we are committed to using the results to improve academic experiences.

We are aiming for 70% of the student body from each class to respond to the survey as part of the internal quality assurance standards. YOUR FEEDBACK ensures that your degree meets all the quality assurance requirements and helps maintain our Institutional Accreditation Status with the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ).

Share Your Feedback Here: https://forms.gle/SeQvHFjBfmYEnZQT6

Once the course evaluation period is closed, you will receive access to view feedback shared by your peers. After which, you will be invited to determine and track action items raised by each class. Please be mindful that low student participation invalidates the survey and may not result in desired intervention strategies.

Your feedback is ANONYMOUS. The university & lecturers are unable to determine which students complete the survey. Your CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK is important to maintaining OUR UNIVERSITY ACCREDITATION STATUS!

Dear students,

Some of you raised some discrepancies since the publication of the EOSA timetable. These included missing campuses for some students with exams, more exam clashes or are hours apart than usual for some students, and some courses that usually have exams were missing.

The Student Council decided to reach out to the exam unit to query these discrepancies. The attached screenshot displays the reply we got. Please note that due to a few late entries, a few additions were made to the exam schedule (highlighted in yellow).

New Additions Include:
1. POM406 Advanced Production & Operations Management (RESIT)
2. ENG104 Business Communication
3. THM423 Caribbean Tourism Planning Policies and Development (USA)
4. SWS303 Social Work Practice I (Individuals and Families)

Greetings students.

The survey attached is in response to students (mainly from Criminology and Social Work) who have made requests for additional courses to complete their degree in place of courses that have been retired. Bare in mind that the course will not be offered if there are less than 30 persons signed up. This is especially targeted for final year students however students with interest may also sign up.

The UCC has implemented a minimum class viability policy which means where a class size is undersubscribed, the course will not be offered. In response to various student requests, please indicate your desire to register for these particular courses in the survey.
