Here is the tricky question, where most people will use the formula g=(GM)/r^2 to calculate, but just like what i have mentioned just now, we have to use the linear graph on the left hand side to calculate because the distance between the center of earth to the center of the object,r, is now less than the radius of earth.

By using linear graph,(g=kr)
(1/2)g=k(1/2)r

So when the radius becomes 1/2 than the original radius, its gravitational acceleration will also become 1/2 times the original gravitational acceleration fo earth.

That is why the answer is A
