NTPC is setting up a 1-tonne-per-day seawater-to-green hydrogen plant in Simhadri, Andhra Pradesh, as a pilot project.

The project aims to facilitate hydrogen production from low-grade water sources like seawater.

The project includes a 1,200-tonne-per-day green hydrogen production facility, making it one of India’s largest.

Half of the facility will focus on producing derivatives such as green ammonia, methanol, and sustainable aviation fuel.

Volumes for Rs. 5 packs showed resilience, and pellet snacks saw strong growth. Broad input cost rises, especially for potatoes, wheat, and gram, led to measures like reducing pack size and adjusting trade margins, partially offsetting impacts. EBITDA reached Rs. 192 million, with margins down to 4.3%.

As palm oil costs are expected to rise further in Q3, we are intensifying cost-saving efforts.

Export plans began in Q2, with dispatches set for Q3, alongside expansion on quick-commerce platforms and signs of improving rural demand.

WELSPUN CORP ; Subsidiary Welspun Mauritius Holdings (WMHL) sold a 5% stake in East Pipes Integrated Company (EPIC), Saudi Arabia, to financial investors on the Tadawul Stock Exchange for SAR 218.9 million (about $58 million) on Nov 11, 2024.

Post this transaction, WMHL's stake in EPIC has changed from 31.5% to 26.5%. WMHL will still remain the single largest shareholder in EPIC.

The proceeds from the sale of EPIC shares are proposed to be redeployed by WMHL in it's new wholly owned subsidiary Welspun Pipes Company, KSA (WPC) for partly financing the CapExp of US$200 million for DI and LSAW pipes greenfield projects in KSA recently announced.

The full basket of product offerings, viz HSAW pipes (through EPIC), and LSAW and DI pipes through WPC, uniquely positions us on a very strong foundation to cater to ever growing demand of pipes in local KSA & international markets, under the Kingdom's "Saudi Vision 2030"
