If it’s not a hate crime then great, but if it is a hate crime then why isn’t burning the Australian flag also a hate crime?
Why is one form of flag burning considered “free speech” while the other is labeled “hate”?
The double standards are obvious. If all flags are just symbols, then the law should be consistent. But if some flags are “protected” while others aren’t, then it’s clear this isn’t about equality - it’s about controlling which views are acceptable and which are not.
