Would burning the LGBTQIA2S+ flag and encouraging others to do the same now be considered a hate crime under the new laws?

If it’s not a hate crime then great, but if it is a hate crime then why isn’t burning the Australian flag also a hate crime?

Why is one form of flag burning considered “free speech” while the other is labeled “hate”?

The double standards are obvious. If all flags are just symbols, then the law should be consistent. But if some flags are “protected” while others aren’t, then it’s clear this isn’t about equality - it’s about controlling which views are acceptable and which are not.

The “hate crimes” bill just passed the Senate after only an hour of debate. It’s vague, poorly designed, and wide open for abuse by the radical left to criminally target those they disagree with.

Under this new law (after Royal Assent) being “reckless” with your words could be enough to commit a hate crime. We’ve all seen what’s happening in the UK - people being arrested for social media posts. The same could soon happen here.

Labor, Greens, Liberals, and Nationals supported the bill.

I voted no today and next week I foreshadow that I will introduce a new bill to enshrine free speech into our nations constitution.

UAP High Court registration hearing set for this Friday.

Members are advised that UAP's High Court hearing regarding registration of the party for the upcoming federal election is set to be begin this Friday (7 February) in Canberra.

We are challenging section 135(3) and the rejection of our registration application on the basis that the United Australia Party meets all eligibility requirements and the Constitution requires Senators and members to be directly chosen by the people.

That requirement implies that the choice by voters be free, fair and informed. UAP contest that impeding voters from identifying our candidates as being associated with the name or logo of the party on the ballot paper cannot be justified because it is not reasonably appropriate and adapted in a manner that is consistent with the system of representative government.

We will of course keep you all up to date with the outcome as and when it is delivered.

I have been branded a racist, a bigot and divisive for arguing that Australians should be united under one flag, not three.

But, as often happens, the United Australia Party proposes sensible policies that are ridiculed and mocked until they are not.

And then, when the heat has been taken out of the issue, the Coalition adopt those policies as their own.
No one, especially the United Australia Party, gets rewarded for being first. We are ridiculed, made fun of and maligned when we dare to propose commonsense ideas.

Those LINO’s (Liberals in name only) in the Liberal Party only adopt our policies once we’ve taken all the heat and all the arrows.

Nuclear power is another classic example of a policy that is only now being embraced because we made it acceptable to talk about.

Clive Palmer was arguing the case for nuclear power back in 2019. He was lampooned. But the public mood has come around to Mr Palmer’s idea, and the Coalition have recently adopted it as their own. Better late than never, I suppose.

Without the United Australia Party’s advocacy for sensible policies before they are popular, common sense would never see the light of day in this country.
It is our lot to do the heavy lifting when it comes to shifting public sentiment. And it is the Coalition’s modus operandi to act only when their internal polling shows that it is safe to do so.

One of the next major issues that Dutton could embrace is the fight against the radical elements within the LGBTIQA2S+ movement and their attack on the nuclear family and children.

I have taken enormous criticism for being outspoken against the insanity of this ideology.

But as I have spoken, sentiment around the world has shifted. The Cass Report in the UK led to the closure of the Tavistock Clinic. The US Congress is voting to keep men out of the Capitol’s female bathrooms, and European nations are banning the prescription of puberty blockers to minors. Australia, as usual, will be one of the last countries to embrace common sense on these issues.

But mark my words, Mr Peter Dutton could eventually start to speak out on this issue. And if he does, don’t forget that he is only brave enough to speak up because the United Australia Party spoke first.

This is why our party is so important. Without the hard work we do, so much of what so-called conservatives are now embracing would be too risky to talk about.

They only speak up after referring to the opinion polls. At the United Australia Party, we speak out based on our deeply held values.

We won’t get any thanks from Mr Peter Dutton. But you, the United Australia Party members and supporters know the truth. And I can’t thank you enough for that support.

I'm sad to tell you that last night we saw the decline of our democracy. 
 
The Senate passed 32 pieces of legislation without so much as even a debate on them. The Upper House, charged with being a house of review, has become a rubber stamp. It has become the house of approval. 
 
If Senators are unable to debate bills, then they should not agree to pass bills. But the Government, with some support from the supposedly conservative/liberal coalition, pushed reams of legislation through with barely any scrutiny. 
 
Instead of democracy we have autocracy. And instead of good governance we have total abrogation of responsibility. The bills that passed include the woke gender neutral Crown References Amendment where the references to the King and Queen have been removed in favour of calling His Majesty or Her Majesty 'The Sovereign'. 
 
The Help To Buy shared equity scheme, where the government can own up to 40% of your home. Another tip toe towards communism. 
 
The Build To Rent bill which is a scheme that signals the decline of the great Australian dream where a rent forever attitude is now legislated. 

Big super funds and fund managers will build and own the homes and you will rent forever whilst they reap generous tax concessions. "You will own nothing and you will be happy", said Klaus Schwab of the WEF. The first steps of this are now in place.

Of all the bills to be waved into law last night, the most disturbing was the bill to ban under 16s from social media. This ill-conceived, poorly planned and open-for-abuse piece of legislation is in my opinion not just about protecting children or about supporting parents. 
 
The law, which purports to be about safeguarding kids, is another step towards the ushering in of a digital ID and social credit type system that will be used to collate information about citizens; information that in the future could be used against us, the people. It's control wrapped up as care.
 
The longer I sit in the Senate, the more I am convinced that the Australian parliamentary system needs serious reform. We should start by insisting that government ministers are not able to sit in the Senate. How can the Senate review legislation with any integrity when members of the government’s executive team who were responsible for the legislation are part of the review?
 
Second, we should abolish parties from the voting ticket so that people vote purely for the local representative they believe will best serve them rather than simply ticking the box for Labor or Liberal. 

That would leave senators free to assess legislation on its merits rather than according to party allegiances. The result would be better representation, more ideas, better scrutiny of legislation, and fewer laws passed. 
 
The current system is madness. In the two and a half years since Labor came to power, the Senate has passed 332 new laws. So many of them are ill-thought out, not properly reviewed and ultimately unnecessary.

At the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference aka COP29 in Azerbaijan China demanded that developed nations, including Australia, pay up to 1800 billion dollars a year to help combat the effects of so called global warming despite China itself being exempt from making contributions. They say they are an undeveloped nation so they don’t have to pay anything.
