OTD 1992, Silvio Meier was killed by Fascists in Berlin. Organiser and Squatter, Silvio grew up in East Germany, he organised underground parties as well as helping to kick of the Squatting scene of 90's Berlin.

He was stabbed in the chest on his way to a club. Dying at 27.

Scores of people raided a Neo-Nazi hang the following day, trashing the place. The following year three members of the club were convicted.

As opposed to those involved in the Panaitoliou reoccupation, who were unanimously found not guilty, the Matrozou comrades were treated exceedingly harshly by the court. While initially only facing misdemeanour charges, the charges against them were upgraded to felonies after public expressions of outrage by Prime Minister Mitsotakis, government ministers and the Police Union. At trial, no extenuating circumstances were taken into account. Even the prosecutor’s recommendation that the accused only serve half their prison time was not accepted by the president of the court.

These are said to be connected to the “Antifa Ost” case – in which a group of antifascists have been sentenced to prison terms for attacks on Nazis since 2019. Nanuk is also alleged to have participated in the 2019 attack on the Federal Court of Justice in Leipzig.

Western Sahara is connected to the Moroccan grid via the capital Laayoune. A new 400kV power connection is planned between Laayoune and Dakhla, and to Mauritania. Through this power-line, Morocco plans to export renewable energy to West Africa. Exports to the EU will occur via existing and planned submarine connections with Spain, Portugal and with the UK. The UK project would see a 3.6GW submarine high-voltage direct current interconnector between the UK and the Occupied Territories, which would generate energy to meet 6% of the UK’s demand. All these plans are particularly focused on cutting the energy trade of Morocco’s first competitor and geopolitical enemy in the Mediterranean region, Algeria.

Oct 14 1982, the Canadian anarchist group Direct Action, composed of Ann Hansen, Brent Taylor, Juliet Caroline Belmas, Doug Stewart and Gerry Hannah, used 550 lbs of stolen dynamite to bomb the Litton Industries factory that was manufacturing guidance systems for 407 US Tomahawk cruise missiles

They first stole 38½ cases of dynamite from a Highways explosives store house months earlier.

They drove a stolen truck alongside the building, stuck a fluorescent warning sign on it, called the security desk to tell them a bombing was imminent and to warn factory workers and local hotel guests to avoid windows.

Dead Kennedys would later sing

"In Toronto someone blew up
A cruise missile warhead plant.
10 slightly hurt, 4 million dollars' damage.
Why not destroy private property
When it's used against you and me?
Is that violence?
Or self-defence?

They would later fire bomb three franchises of "Red Hot Video" which was linked to paedophilic and snuff material.

The resistance has been costly. In August 2024 the ZAD did an inventory of all the legal procedures they have faced since February 2023. Hundreds of people have been arrested and put under custody, there are 60 trials (targeting 130 different individuals), 44 people are under police control and 7 people are detained. Any financial support is both necessary and welcome.
