SHISTECH & SHISFEST 2024

A powerful fusion of technology, culture, and creativity at Scottish High International School! Our annual Tech Symposium and Academic Showcase brought together over 1800 participants for an inspiring, high-energy celebration of talent and innovation.

💻 SHISTECH took center stage as a tech haven, with gaming tournaments, coding events like Code Eclipse, and photography challenges such as Pixel Perfect, showcasing participants' technical and creative skills. This tech-driven event was filled with vibrant energy, pushing students to demonstrate their creativity, strategic thinking, and digital talents.

🎭 SHISFEST complemented the tech vibe with its own artistic and academic competitions, including Nukkad Natak (street plays), musical performances, language challenges, and rigorous math and science events. Mr. Florian Schrank from Austria and Ms. Cherry Elaine Joyce from the Philippines visited the Scottish High International School as part of their mission to explore the best international schools in India, and to gather insights on the curriculum and learning experiences. SHIS Library Week 2024

SHIS library week was celebrated from 14th to 18th October 2024. The week-long celebration included a variety of activities like colouring your expressions, book report writing, book mark making, picture composition, book cover making, reflecting IB learner profile, quiz etc. that aimed at fostering a reading culture among students. Magic show was a resounding success, offering a day of fun, laughter, and wonder for students. It was a joyful and engaging experience for the students.
Storytelling sessions were conducted for children, featuring popular tales and interactive activities to promote literacy.
Students showcased their learning by expressing their thoughts and insights through various activities they were engaged throughout the week.
Library Week was a successful and enriching experience for all students.

HIGHLANDERS DIVE INTO THE WORLD OF SCUBA!

The scuba diving session led by experienced professionals,

Ms. Archana Sardana, Captain Sanjay Kadian VSM (Retd.), and their team was organized for Scottish High students. Ms. Archana Sardana, a seasoned diver with years of experience, guided the students through the techniques/process of scuba diving, including the use of scuba gear and breathing underwater.

Captain Sanjay Kadian VSM (Retd.) shared his knowledge of diving safety and techniques to ensure the students had a safe and enjoyable experience. The team also informed the students about the nuances of scuba diving and shared the benefits it offers, such as a unique opportunity to learn about marine life and ecosystems, as well as marine conservation.

Our school celebrated German Unity Day in the first week of October with great enthusiasm. The event commemorated the reunification of Germany on October 3rd, 1990, and was marked by creative activities, presentations, and cultural highlights, making it both educational and enjoyable.

The celebration began with an introduction to the significance of the day, emphasizing the historical importance of Germany's reunification and its global impact. As part of the cultural immersion, students enjoyed a fun session attempting German tongue twisters, watched cartoons in target language and did lot of interactive activities based on the language and culture. To enhance the festive atmosphere, primary students dressed in the colours of the German flag—black, red, and gold.

The Annual Social Science Exhibition, "Legacy of Bravery: A Tribute to the Unsung Heroes of our Nation," was held on September 28, 2024. The exhibition, presented by our talented Highlanders (Grades VI-XII), was to shed light on the extraordinary contributions of the unsung individuals who have greatly contributed to our Nation.
Students showcased models, charts, posters, cutouts, quizzes, games, and knowledge about unsung heroes of India's freedom struggle. The exhibition included depictions of the National War Memorial, historical events such as the Uprising of 1857, the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, and recipients of the Param Vir Chakra. Students dressed up as leaders, presented a patriotic dance, and sang the melodious song- "Ae Watan, mere watan." The students' and teachers collaborative effort and hard work were evident, resulting in an impressive display that captivated the parents.

Competing against the best teams of the world- Ranveer Singh Saini won the Silver medal for India at the Golf Masters tournament held in Macau this week.

This is Ranveers 8th medal at the Golf Masters in Macau.

Teams from USA, Korea , Thailand, Australia, Costa Rica, UK, Sweden, Finland, Zimbabwe, South Africa and many more competed in this competition .

Ranveer recently won a Gold medal for India at the World Games in Berlin 2023, being his 3rd consecutive World Games medal for the country.
