Hey, I know you’ve been feeling down lately. I get it—sadness can feel overwhelming, but I wanted to share a few things that have helped me when I’ve been in that space.

First off, it’s okay to feel sad. Don’t beat yourself up for it. Sometimes, you’ve just got to sit with it and let yourself feel what you’re feeling. It’s not about fixing it right away—just accepting that it’s part of the process can take some pressure off.

Also, don’t keep everything bottled up. Seriously, reach out whenever you want to talk. Talking to someone who listens can help more than you think. You don’t have to carry this all by yourself.

And I know it’s hard, but try to take care of yourself, even in small ways. Getting a bit of fresh air, eating something you like, or even just taking a long shower can make a difference. Sometimes the smallest things can shift your mood, even if just a little.

If it feels like too much, writing things down can help too. Journaling or just scribbling your thoughts out can make things feel less jumbled in your head. It’s a good way to clear some mental space.

Take it easy on yourself. There’s no timeline for feeling better, and it’s totally okay if it takes time. You’ve got people who care about you. Who are here whenever you need a bit of support.

Hey, everyone! Thanks for sticking around. I've been MIA and super busy for the past few months, but I'm ready to be active again on Telegram. Before I get started, I need some help picking a new name for this channel. I want to start fresh! 😪

It's sad when people move on. But you can’t. You see people cope and get over things while you simply can’t. And it’s so much worse if you’ve been mentally ill for years. Even the smallest things break you and trigger you.

Crying is good for the soul but what if you can't cry anymore? What if there were no tears left? What if your tears were gone and dried out? What can you do to release all your heartaches?

take a deep breath...

...

if it's been a stretch of rough times for you lately, then please know that the good things may take time but they're definitely coming to you.
the wait might be a little longer this time around but the sine wave of good times and bad never flatlines. it'll keep going up and down.
keep holding on. you're here and for now, that's all that matters. You've got this.

I know you're going through a lot lately, just keep in your mind that you're going to be okay. Breathe and remember that you’ve been in this place before. You’ve been this uncomfortable and anxious and scared, and you’ve survived. Breathe and know that you can survive this too. These feelings can’t break you.

Things we need to stop saying to people who have low self-esteem due to trauma:

"Just believe in yourself! The only opinion about yourself that matters is yours!"

"If they're so toxic, why do you care what they think?" (usually in reference to a family member)

"You're making excuses for yourself. Just go after what you want."

"Forgive and move on. Life's too short."

"If it happened so long ago, why do you still care?"

Trauma has complex effects on the brain, and it's not as simple as just "getting over it", so please stop and consider your words.

I just crave gentle love, gentle hands, gentle words, I just want someone to make me feel safe and calm. I want someone to make me feel it’s okay to open up it’s okay to feel anything and share anything with them. I want someone who makes life easier and doesn’t just let me survive but encourages me to live to the fullest. I want someone i can curl up in and cry when i want to. Someone who will put faith in me and make me more confident and proud make me accept myself.

Live and move on. It hurts and probably will for awhile, it might stop you to feel anything but emptiness, and it might make you feel like there is no other option available but to stand there and just give everything up. But darling, surely this is just an illusion. Fear and frustration is overwhelming you and it will only fade into oblivion once you’re done with it. The past is over, it’s done and dusted and there’s nothing you can do to bring it back. Release yourself from the attachment. You must claim the pieces left and lift yourself from the memories. It’s time to forgive, it’s time to turn the page and begin to live again.

What are your coping mechanisms for dealing with difficult times?

It's okay to mourn the person you could have been. It's okay to be angry or resentful at that lost potential. It's okay to be sad about it too. But i want you to know that there are so many parts of you, the you that exists right now, that are beautiful and lovely and meaningful. Just because your past is lost doesn't mean your future has to be too.
