While all our Red Eagle Law team members work remote and are located across the US, none of us are located in LA or directly impacted by the wildfires. However, we are all devastated to see the loss of life and loss of community and the destruction people are facing. Hoping the winds in the coming days are not strong, and there are no more fires.

FAQ: I petitioned both parents through IR5 category, and their interview was 6 months or more ago. My mother got the visa and green card, but my father is still in AP. Now my mother wants to go back to be with my father. What should I do?
Answer: 2 recommendations:
1) Apply for a reentry permit for your mother. That way when she goes back, if she decides to stay longer outside the US than you hope (up to 2 years), she is less likely to be found to have abandoned the green card. See: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/guides/B5en.pdf
2) Mandamus lawsuit for your father's case! Either an individual lawsuit ($6k) (message @curtisatlaw or @Farshad_Amirkhani to discuss); or participation in a more affordable group lawsuit, that usually means waiting longer for onboarding (interest list for group lawsuit: https://redeaglelaw.com/lawsuit-interest-lists).

Update in #BadvipourvBlinken, filed on behalf of 37 Iranian American families: Judge Carter recently granted the State Department's motion to sever plaintiffs' claims, so now instead of having to defend against 1 lawsuit, they can defend against 37 lawsuits. Ok with us.
Also, as the Court wants to look at the plaintiff families' cases individually, Monday's scheduled hearing on our motion for preliminary injunction for the group is vacated. -curtis
