I know Merchan said jail isn’t an option - I’m not even sure that it is legally an option at this point.

But.

I wonder why he is allowing audio recordings for the first time in this trial?

Is it because he wants the sentence being read to be heard in an effort to “humiliate” Trump?

Or might this dude go off the rails and actually send Trump to jail?

And if he does …

Would it be for 10 days?

Would that count as POTUS being “insulated”?

I seriously doubt that happens, and lean more towards it being a nothing burger. But felt the need to think aloud for a moment.
