Radix Wallet 1.11.5 is now released! 🎉

Main updates include fixes to many instances where "complex" transactions were shown to users. This means non-developers should rarely/never see these in production dApps.

Full notes:
👉 Improved transaction classification.

👉 Fixed a bug when some transactions were shown as complex and therefore displayed as raw manifests. This means many more “general” transactions will be shown with the normal UI such as:
- Transactions that contained address allocations were previously treated as complex transactions and are no longer treated as such. Now they can be classified as general.
- Validator actions do not disqualify the transaction from being classified as general.
- Pool actions do not disqualify the transaction from being classified as general.
- General transactions no longer require at least one withdrawal or deposit to be shown with normal UI.

👉 Improved Pre-Auth transaction review.

Important: with this update, users should rarely see complex transactions (raw manifests). As users, you should be extremely careful if you do encounter these transactions and you should not approve them unless you are 100% sure about their use.

Thanks to the community test, Dan has smashed the Hyperscale record per shard with over 10k+ swaps/s.... with just four shards! A single Hyperscale shard delivered triple the Solana throughput with a fraction of the validator hardware spec.

Adam and Dan have been jumping on and recording podcasts and spaces, and polishing some op-eds that the PR team has been placed. The community is now getting involved by providing feedback on marketing to Penrose.

Confirming that the first $25k/m Ecosystem Asset Fund purchase has been made by the Radix Foundation.

1,358,224 XRD was used to purchase the assets, which is $25k worth using the November average price.

The long term randomization function is still a WIP, so to avoid delaying the first buy, random.org was used to pick the date of purchase and also the random asset that gets 30% of the monthly buy (videos here).

Per the announcement blog here, 70% of the $25k of XRD was split across the top 20 assets based on marketcap, excluding wrapped assets, XRD, Cassie, and any tokens that had less than $1000 of traded volume in the last 7 days. The market cap was ranked based on best available data for circulating supply, utilizing industry standard methodology that CoinMarketCap uses (info here).

The remaining 30% of the $25k of XRD was used to purchase a random token with >$1000 7 d traded volume. In the original announcement, the goal was to pick from the top 50 assets, however, for this purchase we had to limit to the top 37 to meet liquidity/volume requirements. This asset was selected again using random.org on the day of purchase, and SRG was selected.

These assets will be held for at least 6 months.

Feedback and suggestions are welcome towards the methodology used to calculate which assets to include in the fund, as we aim to improve this each month to be as robust as possible without over complicating the system and/or making it gameable.

Update on the Hyperscale Alpha Test Schedule

A very frustrating bit of news everyone - we need to adjust the timeline for the Hyperscale alpha test.

TLDR: After pushing out to third parties, we have had a request to add additional validation code for some key partners to be comfortable validating it as a fair real-world test. Therefore, the test initially planned for December 18th is being rescheduled to early 2025.

I know this rescheduling is incredibly disheartening, especially as we only publicly announced the date last week. Performing a real-world test of Hyperscale Alpha with sufficient validation is essential, and we were already cutting it very close to the line with December 18th. With the holidays coming up and the additional elements requested, there is no way we can get close to the maximum impact this deserves with all the necessary third-party validation in place.

Everyone involved has pushed as hard as they can to coordinate this, burning the proverbial candle from both ends and the middle. Unfortunately, despite the fantastic efforts from the community, Foundation team, RDX Works team, and others, the schedule has become too tight to hit this before year's end with all participants involved.

So, here is the updated plan. I will continue working over the Christmas period to add the requested elements and to ensure that the community is better prepared to participate in the rescheduled test which will deliver the robust, credible results Hyperscale Alpha and Radix deserve.

Hyperscale Alpha is groundbreaking, but the burden of proof for such claims is on us. Hyperscale Alpha is not just about record-setting numbers; it's about proving Radix's fundamental capability to scale DeFi to a global level while maintaining atomic cross-shard composability and decentralization in real-world conditions.

For better or worse, we need third-party involvement to give that claim credibility.

Radix Wallet v1.10.1 has been released for iOS, bringing important fixes and improvements:

🔹Transaction Preview Fix: Resolves an issue where transactions involving the creation, minting, and deposit of a new resource in a single transaction were not displayed correctly.

🔹Improved Receipt Handling: Ensures accurate handling of receipts in transaction previews.

Please update your Radix Wallet app to benefit from these enhancements.

Clarification on the iOS App Review Delay

The iOS release of v1.10.1 faced a delay during the App Store review process due to a misunderstanding about the nature of "accounts" within the wallet. After submitting an appeal to clarify how accounts operate in the Radix Wallet, the misunderstanding was resolved, and the update was approved without requiring additional changes.

Upcoming Feature: Account Deletion

In preparation for an unsuccessful appeal, a comprehensive "account deletion" feature for iOS was nearly completed. While now not needed for review approval, this feature will still benefit users and is planned for a future wallet release.

An update to the Radix Babylon app for Ledger Nano hardware wallet devices is now available on Ledger Live, bringing it to v0.7.29.

This update adds signing support for the upcoming Pre-authorizations feature, as well as some assorted small UI improvements and required Ledger SDK updates. It continues to work on all Ledger Nano X, S+, and S devices as before – but Nano S users should continue to be aware of the approaching obsolescence of that device.

There is currently no support for Ledger Stax or Flex devices.

As always, be sure to update your hardware wallet device to the latest firmware in Ledger Live and you should find the update to the Radix Babylon ledger app there. No update to the Radix Wallet for iOS/Android is required.
