Market Recap (07-Nov-2024):
The Nifty opened flat and faced profit booking, slipping below 24,250 and closing with a 1.16% loss, staying within a tight range of 24,180-24,260. The Nifty Midcap 100 showed resilience, with a smaller loss of 0.43%.
Sector Performance: PSU Banks and Media outshined, while Metals and Pharma lagged.
Options Insights: High open interest at the 24,500 Call and 24,200 Put indicates a bearish outlook, with the VWAP trading range expected between 24,060 and 24,405. The Max Pain point is set at 24,250, and the PCR stands at 0.613.
Institutional Activity: FIIs were net sellers with a hefty outflow of 4,888.77 crore, while DIIs were net buyers at 1,786.7 crore.

On the options front, significant open interest has accumulated at the 24000- 24100 call options, indicating some intermediate resilience. On the put side, however, no notable open interest activity was observed. Stronger hands continued to tighten liquidity in Indian equities, while mixed activity was seen in index futures, leading to a slight improvement in the Long-Short Ratio from 22% to 24%. Given the recent price action, the market appears both tentative and oversold. Traders should closely monitor global developments and focus on individual stocks.
