El Real Taller de Aserrío Mecánico, nació en 1884 bajo el patrocinio de la Casa Real y supuso toda una revolución en la gestión y tratamiento de la madera.
Tras su restauración y declaración como Bien de Interés Cultural en la categoría Monumento (Real Decreto 564/2022 de 5 de julio de 2022), ahora se puede visitar este edificio para conocer más a fondo su historia y cómo funcionaba.
En la actualidad, la nave alberga las dos calderas originales que producían el vapor y un motor construido en Gante (Bélgica) con licencia de patente de G.H. Corliss, que mediante una cinta sobre su volante de inercia movía un eje situado en la planta subterránea. A su vez, este eje dotaba de movimiento a las nueve máquinas existentes.

Se abre los viernes y lunes (laborables), con 3 turnos cada día de una hora de duración:
