آنچه اینجا عزت است آنجا مذلت میشود

My heart longs for a forest, rain, and moonlight,
It desires a wooden cabin by the water’s side.
So weary am I of this world that, preferably,
My heart yearns for a poem filled with balanced images and pure imagination.
Oh pen, I take refuge in you—draw a flock of ducks,
For my heart craves the perfect calmness by the edge of a pond.
A world free of fear, with neither hyenas nor dogs,
My heart desires a green forest filled with squirrels.
Pour all the essence of my poetry into tonight’s ghazal,
For this dreamy vision needs nothing more than a single frame.
In your poem, spread a carpet of acacia blossoms for me,
For the poet’s weary mind longs for just two hours of sleep.
