Rooftop Farm Experience — The Sundowner (Part 2)

I attended Salad & Sugarcane workshop.
We began by cutting sugarcane plants and learning the proper peeling technique(not an easy to do!). Using a special machine, we made sugarcane juice, which was incredibly refreshing, especially with a splash of lemon!

Next, we explored the rooftop garden, harvesting unique and delicious plants for our salads (like rosella and sweet potato leaves—who knew they were so tasty?). The garnishes were top-notch: exquisite olive oil, cocoa beans, honeycombs from their hives, and even fried insects!
I tried a worm—it tasted like walnut🤣

So, if you’re looking for a unique outing in Singapore, here’s your sign. The atmosphere there is wonderful!
At the end, we received a microgreens kit and limited edition enamel pins (only if you book through Klook.com)

Must-Visit: Rooftop Farm Experience in SG (part 1)

The Sundowner is a 3-story building on the East Coast with an incredible rooftop garden.

I heard about this place months ago but only made it there last week. And you need to visit too!
They have rescued beehives, grow their own herbs and edible flowers, and offer awesome workshops:

1. Bees! Ants! Worms!
Get up close with these ecosystem heroes, learn macro photography with ants, and even create your own vermicomposting kit!

2. Salad & Sugarcane
Become a mini farmer, make your own salad and sugarcane juice, and take home microgreens to grow.

3. Organic Gardening Masterclass + Bee Experience + Farm-to-Table Drinks
A combo of everything!

In the next post I’ll tell you about my experience☺️
