#Task1

The chart shows that there is considerable variation in the ways people accessed news in the country in question between 2013 and 2017.

The most noticeable trend was the huge decline in the percentage of the population getting their news from printed newspapers.

This saw a collapse from 42% in 2013 to just 22% over five years. By contrast, the proportion using the internet
for news grew from 32% to 41% in 2015 and then saw a massive rise to 68% by 2017. Figures for radio news saw almost no change, holding steady at approximately one third. TV news had a sizeable decline between 2013 and 2015 (79% to 67%) but this was followed by a small rise to 71% in 2017.

It is noticeable that in 2013 TV was by far the most popular medium for news access with a 35% gap between this and the next most popular – newspapers, at 42%. In 2017, TV was still the most used medium but a close second was the internet and the difference had narrowed to just 3% – 71% compared to 68%.

IELTS Writing Task 1 band "6.5 - 7"

The diagram presents a method of recycling rainwater in purpose of domestic use in an Australian town, showcasing a stable system for ensuring potable water. Overall, the rainwater undergoes three main procedures until it is ready as drinkable water.

Firstly, in order to filter the rainwater, it is collected through drains strategically positioned at the edge of rooftops. These drains are connected with water filter turbine directly. This ensures to remove unnecessary debris.

Secondly, having been filtered, the water is stored in a designated container to increase its quantity. And it also serves to settle heavier particles to the bottom.

The third stage is chemical treatment stage. This pivotal stage as it helps eliminate any remaining bacteria with the addition of specific chemicals, which renders water safe for consumption.

Finally, the diagram clearly depicts the possibility of transforming rainwater into drinking water in an innovative approach, which can be useful mainly in water-shortage areas.

The two bar charts present a comparative analysis of energy resource consumption in Australia in 2008 and predicted changes for 2030.

Overall, the data reveals a significant difference between this nation’s heavy reliance on fossil fuels and its minimal utilization of renewable energy resources. In 2008, while wind and hydro powers were minimally utilized, gas, coal, and oil consumption made up well over three-quarters of the total energy resources. This stark contrast between two alternative resources, which is also predicted to remain in 2030, highlights Australia's continued reliance on fossil fuels.

As for the statistics in 2008, three dominants, namely, gas, oil and coal, outstood with substantial shares of 22,90%, 32,50% and 39,00% respectively. However, the consumption of renewable energy resources, hydro, wind as well as solar powers, compromised of the minor share with 1,30% altogether, while the rest, 4,30%, belonged to other types of resources. This pattern indicates that the consumption of eco-friendly alternatives are not well developed.

Remaining at the leading position in 2030, fossil fuels are expected to undergo minor changes, with gas and oil usage projected to increase and coal consumption anticipated to decrease. While the gas (22,90%) and oil usage (32,50%) are expected to increase to 32,00% and 35,50% respectively, coal consumption is anticipated to experience a decrease of 17,70 % from 39,00%. When it comes to changes in renewable energy resources, there will be upward trends in their categories as well, from 1,30% to 5,90%. Finally, the remained share will be related to other energy forms.
