What a few garment export companies have to say about the current export scenario?

Gokaldas Exports
We are expecting the momentum to pick up in the second half of the year particularly with Q3 production for spring 2024 as brands have destocked their inventory and are increasing their order placements. This is also a period of increased sourcing from India. We anticipate sequential growth trend up in the next two quarters

Banswara Syntex
The overall pick up in the industry is expected to happen in Q4, with the destocking being mostly done in Western countries, this destocking process will kick start the process of placing new orders even in the Indian companies.

While there has been an impact of the factors that I mentioned in the beginning on the demand, on the revenue in the first six months, we believe these trends are beginning to bottom out in various parts of the world and as a result we should see that the sector in general and companies specifically should start benefiting from it in the second half of the year.

If I talk of US where there was an inventory situation. So, most of the retailers were placing almost 30% less business in the last couple of quarters. Now what we are seeing is that they are definitely increasing from that, I would say from a minus 30, 35 range, they are coming out to a minus 10, minus 15 range
