Hello Lovely Crew, just got a little announcement to make regarding the future of the topics group.
/ / TLDR: I will be looking for 2 volunteers to work as chat moderators. Anybody interested, please feel free to DM me @PascalRenard. / /
Over the last few weeks stuff has been going on in my personal life that hasn’t allowed me to be as active nor be on top of things over here as I’d like to.
Thankfully, the chat it’s been fairly quiet without much drama going on, but I learned that it would be a good idea to have some backup for when things go wrong or if I’m on a flight.
Because of this, I would like to recruit the help of 2 volunteers to act as chat moderators. Just to keep an eye out when they can and help in balancing judgement in the event something goes wrong.
Ideally some group moderation or admin experience would be greatly appreciated; however, it's not mandatory. I’m looking for people with good and balanced judgement.
If anybody is interested in helping out, please DM me @PascalRenard.
Thank you all for your time and Happy Flying! ✈️

Good [TimeOfDay] lovely crew!
Although divisive and still a talking point in the galley and layovers, this is your friendly reminder that we have only 10 days left to submit our surveys.
The link is in your emails. Remember to write about managerial things and not only service stuff.
Think multiple times “why” to go to the root cause and write about that.
Salary, lack of a clear channel to suggest or provide feedback to the company outside CS/CSDs, fear management and not real leadership, lack career growth opportunities are the biggest issues I’ve heard onboard and read on the chat.
Let’s make our voices be heard

Good [Time of day] Lovely QR Crew
With the launch of MyVoice, we finally have a glimpse of hope for positive change in the company and show upper management how things REALLY are going.
I encourage everybody to submit your surveys whenever you have some time. We have until May 16th (and I will make a few reminder posts as the date approaches) to submit our responses.
With that being said, I would like to point out a few things that I believe are important to consider when writing your comments and answering the questions.
// TLDR (Too long, didn’t read): BE OBJECTIVE, Don’t write with your liver. Whatever you CAN proof, you can write about it. Make bullet points if you need to, just keep your emotions at bay and give them FACTS because whatever we say, will be investigated, avoid stuff you’ve heard from “my friend’s service instructor cat in tower”. //
=============
The company has hired a third party to gather and process all the responses received, not only from Cabin crew (15k of us) but every department in the QR group.
This means, somebody (probably an unpaid intern) will have to read every single comment we put and try to categorise it into an excel sheet that then they will present to senior management and THEN the real work will begin.
Let’s not expect changes to happen overnight, just like when we receive a passenger complaint and they try to see what has happened from both sides of the story (Ideally). The same will happen with all our responses. The path is long and patience will be key.
Like I mentioned above, whatever you write, please be objective and don’t just vent out. You need to be able to provide sufficient proof to what you’re saying.
Among the biggest highlights I wrote about were:
- Fear Culture among middle management
- Severe emphasis on service rather than safety onboard
- The poorly optimised aircraft turnaround times
- Lack of transparency regarding promotions and internal transfers
- Reduced allowances not allowing us to have healthy diets
- Shorter and shorter layovers
- Uncompetitive salaries
The list goes on. If you also have other topics you’d like to suggest, feel free to share them with your fellow crew so we can raise our voice the best way we can and send a clear message about our dissatisfaction with how things are being run in the cabin services department.
We have been given an opportunity change that very likely would’ve never existed before. Let’s make the bes use of it while we can.
Safe travels everybody!
I’ll see you onboard

There’s a lot of things that go into operations that we don’t know.
I’ve always said that crew should have more knowledge of what happens behind the scenes so we are more aware and also understanding when something seems “weird”
It’s an interesting watch if anybody has ~10 mins and are bored/curious
Happy flying everybody!
