Market Opening Outlook โ February 07, 2025
Indian Markets:
GIFT Nifty points to a weak start. Yesterday, BSE Sensex fell by 213.12 points (0.27%) to 78,058.16, and NSE Nifty 50 slipped by 70.15 points (0.3%) to 23,626.15.
RBI MPC Meeting:
The RBIโs Monetary Policy Committee meeting concludes today at 10:00 AM, with Governor Sanjay Malhotra set to announce the decision.
Asian Markets:
Japanโs Nikkei 225 dropped 0.38% to 38,919.92. South Koreaโs Kospi gained 0.28% while Kosdaq declined 0.25%. Markets in Australia and Hong Kong also traded lower.
US Markets:
The S&P 500 closed up 0.36%, Nasdaq advanced 0.51%, while the Dow Jones fell by 0.28% on Thursday.
US Dollar & Currency:
The US Dollar Index eased by 0.06% to 107.76. The Indian rupee closed at 87.57 per dollar on February 06.
Crude Oil:
Prices edged higher with WTI at $70.75 (up 0.20%) and Brent at $74.52 (up 0.31%).
Institutional Activity:
On February 06, FIIs were net sellers (offloading equities worth Rs 3,550 crore), while DIIs were net buyers (investing Rs 2,721 crore).
Gold & Cryptocurrency:
Gold is priced at Rs 7,931 per gram (22 kt) and Rs 8,652 per gram (24 kt).
In cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin fell 0.38% to around $96,453, Ethereum dropped 2.99% to $2,685.13, BNB edged up 0.39% to $573.75, while Cardano and Solana declined by 3.36% and 3.60%, respectively.
