His voice faltered, and he cleared his throat. “She took me in. It wasn’t easy. I had to get an ID, find a job, and fight through addiction. But I kept your address and this photo in my wallet as a reminder. I didn’t want to let you down.”
I could not speak. My throat was tight, tears welling in my eyes.
“I worked my way up,” he continued. “Eventually, I applied to the police academy. I graduated six years ago and tracked you down, because I wanted to thank you.”
“Thank me?” I choked out. “I didn’t do anything.”
He shook his head, his eyes kind but firm. “You did more than you know. You saw me when I felt invisible. You gave me something to fight for.”
We stood there, the cold air biting at my cheeks, but I didn’t feel it. He held out his hand with a smile for a handshake, but I stepped forward, wrapping my arms around him, and he hugged me back like a son would hug his mother!
“Thank you,” he whispered.
When I finally pulled away, I managed a shaky laugh. “Do you still have the scarf?”
He grinned, a real, radiant smile. “I do. It’s in my drawer at home. I’ll never get rid of it.”
We laughed softly, and I realized my tears had spilled over. “You’ve come so far,” I said.
“I wouldn’t have without you,” he replied simply.
That night, I sat in my living room holding the photograph he’d left with me. Ben had returned from working late with our daughter who had extra classes and now sat beside me, his hand wrapped around mine, as I told him everything — the church, the soup, the address I’d scribbled all those years ago.
“It’s incredible,” my husband said quietly. “You gave him a second chance.”
I shook my head. “No. He gave it to himself. I just held the door open.”
As I looked at the photo again, I couldn’t help but wonder how many other people were sitting on cold steps, feeling invisible, waiting for someone to notice them. I vowed to myself to do whatever little I could for the next homeless person I came across.

📖 Story 📃 《 𝟘𝟚.𝟙𝟚.𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟝 》
I left him there, though every part of me wanted to linger. As I walked back to my car, I looked over my shoulder once, just to see him again. He was sipping the soup slowly, his shoulders hunched against the wind. I never even asked his name and never thought I’d see him again.
Ten years passed. Life rolled on the way it does — steadily, with little moments of joy and heartache, with work, friends, family, and routines. My husband and I had celebrated twenty-two years of marriage. Our children, Emily and Caleb, were now teenagers, with our daughter about to graduate high school.
Caleb was firmly in the throes of fourteen-year-old sarcasm. Life was full and exhausting, like it is for most families. It was a Tuesday evening when the knock came at the door. I was sitting in the living room, sipping some tea and flipping through bills, while Caleb shouted about losing his video game upstairs.
When I opened the door, I froze.

“𝒀𝒆𝒔, 𝒊𝒔 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓?” 𝑰 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒅. 𝑴𝒚 𝒗𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒔 𝒎𝒚 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒑𝒖𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒕-𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒔𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒐.
He pulled something out of his pocket—a photograph—and held it out to me. “Have you seen this man, ma’am?”
I frowned as I stared at the photo. It was grainy and slightly bent, but I knew immediately. It was him. The man from the church steps. The scarf, the shoes — it was all there. It was a decade later and I could still remember him clearly!
“Yes,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper. “Who… who is he?”
The officer smiled then, soft and warm. “Ma’am,” he said, “it’s me.”
“You?” I whispered.
He nodded, his voice thick with emotion. “You saved me that day.”
I leaned against the doorframe for support, my mind reeling. “What happened to you? After the church?”
He let out a slow breath, his hands clasping together like he was holding onto something fragile. “After you left, I sat there for a long time. I think I just couldn’t believe someone had seen me — really seen me. You didn’t just give me soup or a scarf; you gave me hope.”
I swallowed hard, the weight of his words sinking in. “But how did you — how did you turn things around?”
He smiled faintly. “That paper you gave me? The one with your address? I didn’t come to your house then, but I kept it. I took it to the pastor of that church and asked him to take a photo of me as I was. I knew one day I’d try to find you and wanted to have a picture of my homeless period to help jog your memory when I did.”
He continued, “The pastor also helped me call my aunt — the only family I had left. He forwarded the photo from his phone to hers. She was so shocked, thought I was dead.”
“I was homeless for years. My mother had passed away when I was twenty. After her death, my father brought a new woman into the house. My stepmother wasn’t cruel, but she wasn’t my mother, and I couldn’t handle it,” he explained.

I had just finished grocery shopping and picking up my husband’s dry cleaning when I walked past St. Peter’s Church and decided to step inside for a few quiet moments of reflection. I don’t even remember what made me stop there, maybe it was the need for stillness, a break from the noise of my everyday life.
As I stepped up to the stone entrance, I noticed him sitting at the foot of the steps.
The man looked no older than thirty. His coat was threadbare, his head bare to the cold wind, and his fingers—stiff and red—fumbled helplessly at his shoes, which were falling apart. It wasn’t just that they were worn; the soles were hanging on by sheer will, held together by makeshift pieces of twine.
I hesitated. I’m not proud of that moment, but there’s something about seeing suffering that makes you second-guess stepping in. What if he’s dangerous? What if he doesn’t want my help?
But then he looked up.
His face was gaunt and wind-chapped, but his eyes — deep, brown, and hollow — stopped me in my tracks. There was something fragile about him, like one more bad day might break him completely.
I couldn’t walk past, no matter how doubtful I was or how hard I tried. Something about him struck a chord and kept me in place. I crouched beside him, my knees protesting as the freezing stone bit through my jeans.
“Hi there,” I said softly. “Please let me help with those shoes.”
He blinked at me with his red, tired, and bloodshot eyes that still held a spark of hope. Startled, as if he wasn’t used to someone noticing him at all, he replied, “You don’t have to —”
“Let me,” I cut in, firm but gentle. I dropped my bag beside me and pulled off my gloves. My fingers immediately stung from the cold, but it didn’t matter. I untied the knotted string holding his shoe together and tried to fasten it more securely.
He was quiet as I worked, watching me with something I couldn’t place — gratitude, maybe, or disbelief. When I finished, I pulled the scarf from my shoulders. It was my favorite one, a thick gray knit my husband, Ben, had given me years ago.
I hesitated for just a second before draping it over his shoulders. “Here. This’ll help.”
His lips parted slightly, like he wanted to say something but couldn’t find the words. I wasn’t done…
“Wait here,” I told him. Before he could protest, I darted across the street to a little corner café, where I bought the largest cup of hot soup they had, along with tea. When I returned, his hands were trembling as he accepted it.

His eyes shone for a brief second before he nodded silently and looked back down at the steaming cup of soup in his hands. “Thank you,” he whispered.

WHEN IS THE NEXT SUPERSTORM? Last Mays geomagnetic superstorm lit up most of Earths surface with beautiful auroras. When will it happen again? A new paper published in the research journal Space Weather calculates the odds. Using an extreme value statistical analysis, researchers concluded that "the storms intensity was a 1-in-12.5 (±1.5) year event, however the duration was a 1-in-41 years event." For many readers, therefore, something similar will happen again in our lifetimes.

"Here is the comet at 11am in the morning only 5 degrees from the sun" says Chris Schur who sends this picture from Payson Arizona: This is Comet ATLAS plunging toward the sun for a very close encounter on Monday Jan 13th It is currently ten times closer to the sun than Earth and deep inside the orbit of Mercury. COMET ATLAS IS BUZZING THE SUN: Sungrazing Comet ATLAS (C/2024 G3) is making its closest approach to the sun today. Coronagraphs onboard the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) are recording the encounter. So far, the comet looks big, healthy and intact: Right now the comet is only 0.09 AU from the sun. If it survives the heat, Comet ATLAS will emerge from the glare later this week as a potentially naked-eye object in the evening sky. A prayer for the new week: Dear God, thank You for the gift of a new week and for all the ways You’ve helped me keep going. I ask for Your guidance and strength as I step into the days ahead. Your word in Psalm 121:2 says, “My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Help me to rely on You fully and to trust in Your perfect plan, even when I don’t understand everything that’s happening around me. Lead me through this week with wisdom and peace. Whatever challenges come my way, remind me that You are with me, giving me all I need to overcome. Thank You for hearing my prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Apple Strudel
Ingredients
500 gr of puff pastry, yeast dough
4 apples
50-100 gr walnuts
2-3 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon
1 egg
To prepare:
Thaw the puff pastry in advance. Peel the apples from the skin and cut them. Add the walnuts, sugar and cinnamon and mix.
Roll out the Puff pastry. Lay out the filling and close, grease the edges with egg. Make incisions and let stand for 15 minutes.
Grease with egg and send to a preheated 180 C oven until brown.

Luke 11:24 says, "When an unclean spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left'".
Jesus has taken advantage of a discussion about whether He is empowered by Satan or the Holy Spirit to talk about the distinctions of following Satan or Himself. He has talked about how Satan is like a strong man defending his authority and power within a fortress. Yet Jesus is stronger and will defeat Satan and redistribute what he'd held captive. Jesus then used an agricultural metaphor to put a dividing line between their followers: people show which side they're on by how they act (Luke 11:14–23).
In this curious passage, Jesus shows that there is no middle ground. Even if you find yourself freed from Satan's influence and as spiritually neutral as possible, you're still vulnerable to Satan. In fact, you're more vulnerable to Satan than before.
The parable begins with a man freed from a demon: an act already established as only possible through God. Although the man appreciates the blessings of freedom, he doesn't make any positive movement toward God. He remains in a neutral human position. He doesn't realize that makes him vulnerable to even more demonic oppression
Luke 11:25-26:
"And when he comes he finds it swept and put in order".
"Then he goes and brings seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first".
It isn't enough to "not worship" Satan.
WE MUST CHOOSE JESUS!
What this verse says about demons isn't clear. Demons can certainly exist without oppressing a human. But we don't know why the demon would travel through waterless places or need to seek rest. Nor do we know what "rest" would look like for a demon.

Alan Dyer captured the display in this Jan. 6th photo from rural Alberta, Canada: Four of the naked eye planets are above the horizon at once. Only Mercury is missing. Venus, Jupiter and Mars in particular are really bright-all brighter than the brightest star in the night sky, Sirius, which is also visible. It's an impressive string of lights. Mars however is about to vanish. On Jan. 13th the Full Moon will pass directly in front of Mars & Mars is close to opposition its closest point to Earth so it is unusually red and bright. Even when Mars is half hidden by the glaring edge of the Full Moon it will still be visible through binoculars and telescopes. The "path of totality" for this occultation stretches across North America. Most observers can see Mars pop in and out of view around dinnertime on Monday night.

When asked if she’s “looked into” the crucifixion of Jesus, she can’t speak. Her eyes water and she is rubbing her finger across her top teeth. She knows the Truth, she just doesn’t want to give up her “power” or fame.
Psychic mediums, palm reading, new age religion, occult practices, tarot cards, reiki, chakras, yoga etc…….. come out of it. It is demonic. Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven.

Because I'm a lover of art, I've decided to share this wonderful project of recreating original settings of painted artwork by placing it in a modern, photographical scenery that captures the original mood of the painting. The first one was so captivating to me, that it made laugh. That's how good the facial expression was mimicked. There are a total of 53 recreated scenes to view. As you can see, number 39 was my favorite. The book she's holding, made me think of my Dutch State Bible from 1902 🥰
The beauty of art is that it has the ability to give you a very personal experience, even though the artist who made the specific piece had a very different story to tell with what he or she made.

NOT ALL OF THOSE AURORAS WERE AURORAS: The Jan. 1st severe geomagnetic storm. Take a closer look. Not all of the auroras were actually auroras. Heres an example from Tapanui New Zealand "I turned around from shooting aurora to find this red arc on display" Researchers call this an "SAR arc." God is calling out to the modern reader (to you and me) to listen, and look, and see what he is doing in our lives. He is asking us to turn towards him for his loving salvation. He is asking us to give up our selfish ways and pursue his loving rescue plan for our lives.
Some say that Isaiah 43:18-19 encourages people to view God's grace in the past as a starting point, and to expect the future instead of fearing it. It can also mean that God will not hold past sins against people, and that they will not plague people in eternity.
God is doing a new thing all around us. God is breaking down strongholds, transforming dark places into light places, and making hardened hearts into soft and compassionate hearts. God is giving wealth to the impoverished, bread to the hungry, water to the thirsty, hope to the hopeless, and faith to the faithless.
The new thing God is doing is bringing blessings and a new path ahead for His people where the world said there is no way forward.
As I begin this new year, I'm committing to hope in God's power to make things new. He restores lost time, bestows new identities, and creates new life.

We’re living through one of the strangest and darkest times in recent history. Those usually able to offer guidance or a steady hand are struggling to do so. It seems that all we are able to do with any amount of certainty is attempt to be there for one another. Even then, it’s often not possible or wise to be there for one another physically. Many are struggling. Many are devastated.
We know that we will have trouble in this world. Jesus Himself promised us as much in John 16:33. But of course, that isn’t all He said. The full verse is as follows:
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Even as Jesus promises us that we will have dark times and trouble in this world, he promises us that we will endure. He encourages us to take heart and to trust Him. He has overcome the world!

Just as a fortress brought peace to a city, God is our fortress and brings peace to our souls in the midst of the chaos happening around us (Psalm 46:7, Psalm 46:11).
In an ever-changing world filled with all manner of danger, David reminds us that “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). God brings us peace and strengthens us, giving us the freedom to fulfill our God-given destiny rather than being preoccupied with our personal safety just like the ancient cities' fortresses gave them the freedom to thrive.
Building a secure ancient fortress was not an overnight process. It happened day by day, brick by brick. Knowing God is also a process. It happens day by day as we worship Him and stay in community with other believers.

Prayer request: Please pray for everyone affected by the floods in the province of Andalucia in Spain. Many have lost their homes, pets and some even their lives. In this video made by the BBC it was said at least 51 people at that moment lost their lives because of the flood that started in the (late) evening of October 29th, 2024 and got more severe as the hours gone by. An update from 6:08pm from CNN have said it's at least 95 people who died by that time due to the severe floods.
Please also pray for all those who have been affected by the hurricanes in the United States. Thank you so much 🙏🏽

Last night was crazy windy and I had to repark so my house would not rock all night
Restless sleep as they are fiddling with the frequency
This evening it's calm and I am receiving downloads my crown is expanding 😇
I met a beautiful soul today she was working with me in the store, I gave her a lift home
She needed someone to chat to and has a sad story, coming from a war zone and she tried to get her parents out but they won't leave their 7 cats and one big dog behind.
She offered to buy a van but she can't get her parents to move no matter how hard she tries, she did manage to get her dad via solicitor not to have to go to war, crazy stuff.
She is the only child and is fully aware of everything that is going on, she said the guys her age 22 are not seeing it as they are so programed and she finds it hard to find normal awake guys her age
It sure is tuff, your trying to help and they won't move.

Hard to pinpoint where it all began, but somewhere in human history people began comparing themselves to one another. Later on, society began assigning values to these comparisons to designate a person’s importance. As societies grew, they used these comparisons within their structure to define who would rule, where people would live, and who would be sacrificed to the gods. But There is only One True Higher GOD! Different customs divided cultures, and tribes emerged separate from one other. Differences in beliefs justified wars between tribes. Wars gave the victors permission to murder, rape, appropriate property and enslave the vanquished. More harm than good has come from assigning value to others. Although acknowledging differences is important, for example, it is essential to decipher the difference between an engineer and a biologist. But it is our tendency to give one more value than the other and this causes harm and we can see this in every aspect of our society. These designations triggers preconceived notions from the person viewing the information, and often these designations promote negative value. But it is not the labeling itself that is wrong; it is the values we attach to them. Some of these labels get greater respect while others promote disdain. By assigning terms to people, we create the illusion that some are more valuable than others. Just think about how many decisions we make in our lives based on this arbitrary system somebody created long ago. It is also important to note that we use this very system to lessen our own value. According to the standards applied to wealth, titles and status, we will always find someone “better” than us. This keeps us believing we are never good enough because, no matter what we do, there will always be someone better.
The Truth of Our Existence...
The problem with comparing is that it denies the most important truths about our existence; a Higher Power created us with intention. We are not accidents. Everyone has a purpose that our planet needs. No purpose is more important than another. Keep this in mind today as you look at all the people around you. We can make a greater world if we view everyone, including ourselves, as having the same vital importance as everyone else. Imagine a world where we are all valued for what we can contribute and where we give honor to every life journey. Creating this world begins with you by giving the real value our Higher Power has in mind for all of us. Everyone is important and can offer their greatness to the world. Time to stop measuring and assigning importance to yourself and everyone else based on what the material world thinks.
We All have pieces to the puzzle and are trying to reach the same destination on this journey but how do we move forward in these times if we can't appreciate each piece that each one of us have putting aside differences with forgiveness, compassion, and love accepting how important each one is in the puzzle to complete the journey to bring back a Nation of Unity.
