Reforms - Proposal - EMS - India to Announce $4-5 Billion Electronics Incentive Plan

Government Incentives: India plans to offer $4–5 billion in incentives to encourage local manufacturing of electronic components for gadgets like mobile phones, laptops, etc.

Reduce reliance on imported components, especially from China.

Incentivize local production of key components such as printed circuit boards. Deepen local supply chains for electronics manufacturing.

The scheme is in the final stages of approval by the finance ministry.
