Booked loss of 55k in options selling.
Tough market. The risk reward was not favourable. Market is just way too volatile, premiums are not balanced, sudden spiked etc.

In the morning hours, the nearest CE options were trading at 5-10 rupees, while PE options were at 20-30-50 rupee levels. There was a huge difference in premiums, as if the entire market was anticipating a downward move.

The lesson here is - if something becomes way too obvious on the options chain (or charts), do the opposite; that's where huge profits are made.

Here's a peek into how trading looks from my perspective.
As I have shared earlier that I handle someone else's account, running different setups every day. Some are done manually (shared on Instagram), and others are automated. Today's story: the options setup brought a loss of 59,200 INR (normal for the account size), while equity (algo) gave 9,000 INR profit, and equity ( manual ) gave profit of 15,000 INR.

Online, it might seem like I was in green today, but the day's total outcome is a loss. This side isn't often shown.

On another note, many course sellers and mentors boast about big profits (like 5 lakh on 5 lakh initial capital, making 100% returns in 3 months). But they're quiet about the extra money they already have in their bank accounts. Why does this matter? If I've got 1 crore in the bank account and 25 lakh in trading account, I might take bigger risks on trading because I know I've got that safety net. It affects how I manage risks and think about trading.

People who follow these mentors don't usually have extra money outside trading. They start thinking that fast 100% returns are doable, and they start taking bigger risks to try to get those returns. This is common among famous YouTubers and mentors, but I think it's wrong.

Sometimes, people ask why I don't use my whole 50 lakh account when I could. Well, that remaining money is for managing risks. I could trade with just 25 lakh, same trades, same amount, and easily boast about my ROI, the 5% average would start looking like 10% average. Because every trader knows that major drowdown comes once in 2-3 years, otherwise it is generally under 10% DD. So till then we can keep majority amount in the banks, only keep the margin amount in the trading account and show huge ROI.

Moral of the story, keep you expectations low and realistic. If your margin utlization is 100% then either keep 3x extra capital in your bank account or simple lower the risk.
Slow steady realistic growth is the only way - play the long term game.
