Only the over-Rs 10 lakh segment is expanding. As a result, overall growth is muted, Bhargava said in an interview.

📮 Billionaire Ravi Jaipuria’s VBL has taken 100% control of SBC Tanzania and SBC Beverages Ghana, for Rs 1,304 crore and Rs 127.1 crore respectively. The company also said it is planning to acquire the remaining 39.93% stake in a subsidiary - Lunarmech Technologies - for Rs 200 crore. Varun Beverages holds 60.07% in Lunarmech, and after the transaction, it will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of VBL.

📊 Govt likely to reduce import limit by 5% for laptops, tablets, PCs from 2025 📊
📮 With an aim to boost local manufacturing, from 2025, the government may introduce small curbs on import of laptops, tablets and PCs by reducing the import limit by 5 percent, three sources with knowledge of the matter told Moneycontrol.
📮 Currently, the Centre has extended the free import of such items till December 31, 2024. Previously, the system was scheduled to end on September 30.
📮 Sources explained that the import data for FY 2024-2025 may be taken as the baseline for slashing the limit by 5 percent, and the measure is slated to be implemented from April 1, 2025.

📮 China's top legislative body - the National People's Congress (NPC) - on November 8 approved the State Council's proposal to increase local government debt limit by $838 billion.
📮 The debt swap plan is spread over three years, said Xu Hongcai, the vice chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress, and will help reduce China's interest payments by 600 billion yuan over five years, freeing up resources for development.

📮 India’s FMCG sector grew 5.7 percent by value and 4.1 percent by volume in the July-September quarter, driven by rural demand, the Busines Standard reported, citing a quarterly update by consumer intelligence firm NielsenIQ. Price-led growth stood at 1.5 per cent.
📮 Rural volume growth has now outpaced urban markets for the third straight quarter despite consumption softening in both regions. Small manufacturers rebounded after a recent decline, while bigger companies trailed in value growth.

Adani is owed around $400 million but Bangladesh has paid less than half of it.

ED initiated its Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) investigation based on several complaints against Amazon and Flipkart, the e-commerce entities providing marketplace, that they are violating FDI rules by directly or indirectly influencing the sale price of goods or services and not providing level playing field for all the Vendors.
📮 Appario Retail, Shreyash Retail, Darshita Retail, Ashiana Retail are some of the entities related to Amazon and Flipkart that are under the scanner, reported News 18.
