💠 Fadak - Is it wrong to defend one’s right?

Lady Az-Zahra (sa) had no attachment with worldly wealth and considered it valueless, which resulted in personal wealth and lust of an individual. She also knew that she would depart from this temporary abode soon.
When a person knows that he is going to leave this world soon, naturally his worldly desires come to an end. Considering this fact, Lady Az-Zahra’s (sa) stand was to defend the right in all situations so that the society does not get into the habit of crushing the rights of others. That is why she stepped forward bravely and defended her right well.

She went to the house of the caliph of her time and obtained the sanction letter to restore Fadak from him. However, this sanction letter was soon taken away from her forcibly. After that, she went to the mosque accompanied by the Commander of the Faithful. An unmentionable incident occurred in the mosque and she was forced to challenge the usurpers.

💠 A Concealing Bier

It is related that Fatimah told Asma b. Umays, “I do not like how they carry the corpse of women, they place a cloth upon their beir and their body is visible from underneath it. Whoever sees it, knows that it is the body of a man or a woman. I have turned feeble and the flesh of my body has melted, then will you not make something to conceal my body?” Asma replied, “When I was in Abyssinia, the people had a beir that would conceal the body, if you desire I shall make it for you.” Fatimah said, “Make it for me.”

Asma called for a plank and placed it down, then she called for some wood of the palm-tree and fixed it upon the plank. Then she placed a cloth upon it and said, “The beir of the people of Abyssinia was similar to this.” Fatimah was pleased and said, “May Allah save you from the fire of hell. Make a similar kind for me and conceal me in it (after my death).”

It is also related that when the sight of Sayyidah Zahra fell upon the beir, she smiled though she had never smiled after the death of the Prophet of Allah. Then she said, “What a fine beir is it that it prevents from recognition whether it (the body) is of a male or a female.”

💠 Fatimiyyah Is Ashura

The importance of commemorating the death of Fatimah al-Zahra can never be understated. It is one of the foundational events in the history of Islam through which we can better understand the past, present and future.
Ayatullah al-Uzma Shaykh Lutfullah Safi Gulpaygani writes,

💠 Wisdom from Nahjul Balagha

They are asking you morsels of battle. So either you remain in ignominy and the lowest position or drench your swords with blood and quench your thirst with water. Real death is in the life of subjugation while real life is in dying as subjugators. Beware, Mu’awiyah is leading a small group of insurgents and has kept them in dark about the true facts with the result that they have made their bosoms the targets of death.

💠 The Handwritten Letter of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah with the Ring

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

This ring contains a green Yemeni agate gemstone with the following undotted inscription:

“My means on the promised day” (or for the promised day)

“Uthman bin Saeed”

Its owner, who is a gemstone expert, says that that the stone and inscription were inspected in Lebanon and it was confirmed that it dates back to a time period consistent with 250 - 300 A.H. And he says that this stone and signet belong to the first deputy of our master, The Master of the Age (as), Uthman bin Saaed Al-'Amri.

As for the silver ring, it was designed by the giver/gifter, or owner of the ring.

Its owner had kept the ring with me as a trust for a year and then gifted it to me a while ago.

And I—who, if I could give my soul and my life to my master and chief, his eminence, Imam Khamenei, may my soul be sacrificed for him, and may Allah prolong his noble life, I would do so willingly and gratefully—gift what could actually be the signet and inscription of the ambassador of the Imam (as) to the deputy of the Imam (as) in this age, hoping for his acceptance and prayers.

Imam al-Reza (as):

If there were not so many clear verses [from the Book of Allah] and practiced tradition [of the Prophet (s) and abundant ḥadiths about marriage and marital relationship, still [outcomes and blessings such as:] doing good to the near of kin, bringing near the far ones, reconciliation of the hearts, networking of the rights, adding up the population, bringing up children for [confronting] hardships of the time and incidents of the age [that Allah has placed in marriage] were sufficient for the wise to be encouraged to this and the right-minded human being hasten toward it.

💠 This is a Zourkhaneh ("the house of strength"), belonging to the shrine of Imam Reza (as) where traditional "heroic sport" is performed. This sport, originally used to train warriors in Iran, is a great group sport accompanied by elements of spirituality like recitation of Gnostic epic poems especially about Imam Ali (as) and instructions in ethics and chivalry given by a Murshed.

Heroes like Martyr Ebrahim Raisi as a wrestling champion would train in zourkhanehs like this. He would recite Quran, duas and poems about Ahlul Bayt during his practices. By having great physical and spiritual strength he did wonders at the war front. He would say, "If you do sports for the sake of God it will be considered as worship of God".

💠 Quran Light

And of them are those who have made a covenant with Allah: ‘If He gives us out of His grace, we will certainly give alms (zakāt) and we will certainly be of the righteous
وَ مِنْهُمْ مَنْ عاهَدَ اللَّـهَ لَئِنْ آتانا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ وَ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ

📖 Surah Al-Tawbah, verse 75

⚜️ An important matter, regarding this subject mentioned in the second verse, is that this breach of covenant and becoming stingy causes hypocrisy to come into existence in their hearts.

When a person behaves like that, he has to clasp to justification of himself and has to say something through his tongue which he does not believe in his inward. It is similar to the manner of the hypocrites who, in order to protect themselves, expressed Islam falsely and said something that they did not believe.

💠 Narrated by Sa'd from Abu Ja'far (as) who said:
I asked him about this verse, "It is not righteousness that you enter the houses from their backs, but righteousness is in one who fears Allah. And come to the houses by their doors" (Quran 2:189).

He replied, "The family of Muhammad (s) are the doors of Allah, His way, those who invite to Paradise, the leaders towards it, and the guides to it until the Day of Judgment."
