As a General Officer, you can defy Presidential mandates like former Air Force Space Command Commander General Chelton to used tactics and bravado and defied Obama who wanted to give away our GPS frequencies for military use here in the US in favor of a NextGen wireless G network which would have crippled the US's ability to exercise forces in this country. He wasn't fired, but Obama made sure he would progress beyond his position. As a General Officer, you are obligated to take the risk of getting fired to stand up for what is right. Unfortunately, lesser ranked officers had to do it, like Lt Col Matthew Lohmeier who was a Space Force Commander for missile warning was fired for his book "Irresistible Revolution: Marxism's Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military" and Lt Col Scheller was the Marine Lt Col battalion commander who openly criticized his superiors for the botched Afghanistan withdrawal. So, During the Starship-6 Test Flight yesterday, General Salzman, US Space Force Chief of Space Operations was seen standing next to President Elect (Elect for the normies) Trump as they were watching the launch. What I can't say from this event if it was a violation of the Hatch Act. The act that says while in uniform you can't participate in partisan politics or activities thereof. The US military active duty is covered under the Hatch Act, but also under DOD Directive 1344.10 Political Activities by Members of the Armed Forces. Paragraph 4.1.5 states "4.1.5. Activities not expressly prohibited may be contrary to the spirit and intent of this Directive. Any activity that may be reasonably viewed as directly or indirectly associating the Department of Defense or the Department of Homeland Security (in the case of the Coast Guard) or any component of these Departments with a partisan political activity or is otherwise contrary to the spirit and intention of this Directive shall be avoided." The point being the Spirit and intention. Paragraph 4-3-2-2 states "Depict or allow the depiction of themselves in uniform in a manner that does not accurately reflect their actual performance of duty. For the purpose of this policy, “photographs” include video images, drawings, and all other similar formats of representational media." as it applies to campaigning. Not that Trump is campaigning anymore, its the perception. Now I really don't care one way or the other, but again, to the Normies, Trump isn't the CnC yet as he hasn't yet been inaugurated, so technically, Salzman is schmoozing up to a political candidate. So, What?? All of a sudden 2027 regarding Taiwan isn't as important that everyone was saying 6 months ago. Everyone was so concerned about Taiwan. Now the Jack A$$ Paparo, INDOPACOM Commander says readiness and being ready is more important. ————————————————————The head of the US military command responsible for a region including Taiwan said on Tuesday (Nov. 19) that China’s 2027 date for being ready to invade Taiwan is less relevant as it approaches.

Speaking at the Brookings Institute in Washington, D.C., US Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) head Admiral Samuel Paparo said the date was alarming when it was first made public. However, he said that as the date nears it becomes more important to maintain readiness at all times rather than for a specific date.

Paparo said if the People’s Republic of China (PRC) thought unification with Taiwan became impossible, a third party intervened to make Taiwan independent, or Taiwan declared independence, Beijing would consider an invasion a “war of necessity.” He said outside of that, the 2027 date was set as a time to be ready to fight a “war of choice.”

“It was never a date where the PRC declared, ‘We’re going on this date.’ I think they are somewhat confused when people conflate it with that,” Paparo said.——————————— Actually he is full of Sh!t. It was always about the date in 2027. I've heard it in space force and air force and in articles that 2027 was this special year that Taiwan would be invaded. Some experts believe that Xi aims to take Taiwan by 2027, which marks the 100th anniversary of the PLA. The PLA was created - 1 August 1927, making 2027 the 100 year anniversary. Either way, these butt heads are all about the Military Industrial Complex and getting a bigger budget. You can't do that if you appear as friends with China and Russia, so they have to keep the fear porn that China and Russia are these really bad countries who want to take over the world.
