This year ICSE has introduced competency-based questions which are :

1. Difficult to understand
2. Difficult to solve
3. Time-consuming

Since these questions are introduced this year we cannot rely on previous years' papers too 🥲

Since last month we have received many queries regarding these questions and are asking us to provide them.

So here we are providing to you with competency-based questions for civics :

1.The President declared a national emergency due to
external aggression. (The Indian Express, 20 October
2023)

Explain the emergency powers of the President under the
Indian Constitution.

2.The Rajya Sabha recently initiated a motion to create
a new All-India Service. (The Hindu, 22 March 2023)

Discuss the exclusive power of the Rajya Sabha to initiate
legislation for the creation of new All-India Services

3.On March 10, 2023, the Supreme Court of India used its
authority to invalidate a recently enacted law, asserting that
it conflicted with the fundamental principles of the
Constitution. This decision underscores the Supreme
Court's crucial role in ensuring that all legislation conforms
to constitutional standards. (The Times of India, March 11,
2023).
