1. Stop Trying to Look Rich: Focus on actually becoming rich. Invest your time and resources in things that will yield growth. Faking wealth is no longer an option; itโs time to be real and intentional about building wealth. You are no longer a child.
2. Learn to Ask for Help: There's no shame in seeking assistance. When you ask, you can either get a "yes" or a "no." But you'll never know unless you try. I once needed some money, and John Ogbonna lent me half a million naira. I asked for it and paid it back. There is no shame in asking for assistance, especially as an entrepreneur.
3. Respect Debts: If you owe someone, pay them back. Life happens, but when you're unable to pay on time, communicate. This year, I owed three people and pay off one. For the remaining two, I reached out and pleaded for more time. Surprisingly, one of them even sent me a Christmas gift despite the debt.
When you owe someone, always plead for an extension, explain your situation, and avoid ignoring their texts. Itโs a matter of integrity and maintaining trust. If you really want to go far.
4. Use Debts Wisely: Borrow only for productive purposes like scaling your business or investments. Avoid taking loans for consumption or fleeting pleasures.

As you expand your means, you can increase your standard of living but ensure itโs still within that expanded level.

He'll make you feel so familiar with your friends and to those that are ahead of you, to the extent of taking them for granted and not showing appreciation to them when they show you kindness.
Over familiarity is a thing that can blind your eyes, and let you lose a good relationship...making you feel so entitled and disregards them.
When you easily get responses from them whenever you reach out, overfamiliarity will let you see it as if...they don't have something doing, and instead of you appreciating the privilege...you misuse the access.
One of the reasons I do call many with Brother so,sisters that and the rest...to help me to not feel so familiar, and by appreciating the access.
Many are looking forward to being close to the people you take for granted....open your eyes and learn to appreciate the privilege of good friends and those that are kind to you.

Then it doesnโt mean theyโre lying if you donโt hit that target within the promised timeframe.
Why?
Hereโs an example:
In 2022,
I invested 300k in a one-month mentorship program with Golibe & Rachel.
From just one insight in that program,
I earned back 3 times my investment before the end of the program.
(Hint: it wasn't a beginner's program though; it was more about mindset).
And yeah, some participants saw results after a few months,
While others didnโt achieve the same success at all.
(Note: we were less than 10 in numbers).
The takeaway?
Results vary widely because each of us has a different approach to processing information,

Two friends came to me looking for a job.
One was a secondary school dropout and the other was a university graduate.
I gave them two opportunities.
1. A house cleaning job.
2. A companyโs financial secretary.
The graduate immediately chose to work as a financial secretary and he was given a beautiful air-conditioned office. He resumes work by 8 AM and closes by 5 PM. He works from Monday to Friday and he spends Saturdays compiling and officially submitting the week's records to the head of his unit.
His monthly salary is N200,000 and he spends approximately 70k every month on transportation fares, 90k on feeding, and other expenses. So, he earns just about enough to survive and nothing to save.
On the other hand, the certificate-less dropout started his cleaning job. He was not given any office.
He comes to clean twice every week. It takes him less than two hours to do his job and go back home. His salary is N50,000 monthly.
Now, because he comes only twice every week to clean the house and spends less than two hours, he has so much time left to do other things.
Because of this, I connected him to five other houses. He cleans the houses on different days and some he cleans in the morning and others in the evening.
Now, he was making 250k from these five houses monthly and still had more than enough free time daily.
So, I asked him to also start doing laundry for these families. So, instead of these families to take their dirty clothes to laundry, this dropout would spend two hours to clean the house and another two hours to wash the clothes and when he comes the second time in the week, he would spend two hours to clean the house and two hours to iron the clothes.
This increased his income to 100k monthly from these five jobs, totaling N500,000 every month.
And yet he still has more than enough time to do other things.
He worked for one year and I asked him to open a cleaning agency and a laundry shop.
Now, he has employed more hands, got more clients, makes more money, and he sits in his office while his employees do the cleaning and washing. His only job now is to supervise.
The secondary school dropout is no longer an ordinary cleaner. Heโs now a rich boss, but his friend is still slaving in an air-conditioned office hoping for a salary increment that would probably happen in another year or two.
This morning the secretary said to me Sir KAA, I now want to become a cleaner like my friend or even a Keke driver, or anything at all you think is the best thing for me.
You see, oftentimes we look down on the jobs that hold our breakthrough.
You donโt want to be called a cleaner.
You donโt want to be called a carpenter.
You donโt want to be called a Keke driver.
You donโt want to be called an electrician.
You donโt want to be called a plumber.
You want to be called those sweet polished respected names that come with an air-conditioned office, suit and tie, and black shoes.
Well, the choice is always yours, but I hope this post teaches you something important.
