The amazing thing about working with our new Web3 partners, is that we have access to some of the sharpest brains in the space (from Yuga, ApeChain, Animoca, Founders, launchpads and Exchanges) - ones that really know their stuff, and they can get to the heart of something fast. They don’t have an hour for us to explain the story and then leave them to join the dots.
Universally everyone loves what we’re building and want to help, but in reviewing our messaging, they have been a bit brutal. Feedback is we’ve nailed the customer and primary app user message (how to use an ESG offer to engage an audience) - but we don’t talk nearly enough to the crypto investor🤦♂️
That is being fixed right now.
We sit at the intersection of a $40bn market with a growing use case and we already have some of the worlds largest brands as customers (including HP, Google, Mastercard, Lenevo, UNICEF) with more coming - but we need to better explain our growth path in relation to the token opportunity, not just the good it performs in the world.

We are very proud to announce one of our key launch partners and investors, ApeChain. The first part of this was to secure investment in Zenko, and now we’re working on community activiations across their many projects. We are moving our applications over to ApeChain from Polygon, and it’s the perfect consumer focused chain for us to operate with a vision aligned to ours. We have been working on finding the right home for us to build from, and Apechain was our first choice. Launch update: We held an all hands marketing meeting with our key launch and build partner (and investor) last night and we’ve all agreed to make the official announcement on the 14th Feb at NFT Paris as a part of the build up. So this is an announcement about the announcement, but we now have a roadmap to TGE shaping up, and as long as the market allows (no more trade wars) this will happen in Feb 2025 (not 26). We’ve instructed everyone to withdraw Cleo tokens from exchange for the snapshot, this is very important. We are hoping to launch our play to earn game on Monday, it’s all built, so are moving from staging to AWS starting tomorrow. So next week we officially start the build up to launch.

Happy New Year everyone. We wanted to kick off with a recap of what Zenko is and give you an update on the launch status. Zenko empowers brands, sports and schools to use a tokenized ‘real world good’ from all 17 UN SDGs (sustainability development goals) as an incentive for engagement. Presenting a win, win, win. Brand gets more effective engagement at a lower cost (self funding through lower CPE), user gets a good performed in the world (that they get to choose) as a reward for their time, attention or action and the planet/social cause gets a helping hand.
We’re already working with global businesses like Google Cloud, HP, Lenovo, Mastercard, HSBC and more on using this approach to generate engagement from their users/prospects.
Following the success of our first NetZero televised football match (Chelsea in July for Unicef) we’re now working with 5 large pro soccer teams to engage fans, and have over 3,500 tonnes of carbon to offset and 20,000 meals for children in food poverty to execute on TGE and a lot more to follow.
In pilot we had over 30,000 users, but we kept this deliberately small (Google - 350 tonnes of carbon offset, HP 10k trees planted, Lenovo 150 tonnes of carbon, Socceraid/Unicef 1,000 tonnes of carbon for example). Importantly we have a clear roadmap to 5m users within 6-9 months of launch.
We are all preparing for TGE, marketing is briefed and we are ready. The only final thing to confirm is what chain we launch on. We were hoping to have this confirmed over Christmas, but as it stands we are still waiting on the final terms (we are not looking for a new chain, but a partner who will support our launch and growth). We expect these to be concluded over the next week, and we are planning for token launch first week Feb.
We also are adding to our app ecosystem to extend token use and building our roadmap to 5 million users by summer 2025, so we’ll be sharing more information on these over the next week as we prepare for token launch. 2025 is going to be amazing. Thank you all for being on this journey with us.

We are all preparing for TGE, marketing is briefed and we are ready. The only final thing to confirm is what chain we launch on. We were hoping to have this confirmed over Christmas, but as it stands we are still waiting on the final terms (we are not looking for a new chain, but a partner who will support our launch and growth). We expect these to be concluded over the next week, and we are planning for token launch first week Feb.
We also are adding to our app ecosystem to extend token use and building our roadmap to 5 million users by summer 2025, so we’ll be sharing more information on these over the next week as we prepare for token launch. 2025 is going to be amazing. Thank you all for being on this journey with us.

Why an Ape Coin giveaway? Firstly we want a token people can do something with now, not have to wait till TGE. Also our apps currently run on Polygon, but we are in discussion with other L2’s and chains that we believe would offer us a better home and are more mass consumer engagement geared, and offer strong marketing support. We’d be crazy to ignore what Yuga are building, so of course we are engaging with them. GM all. Quick update, we’re going to start to make some changes this week. New mods being onboarded and taking over community moderation and new social media team starting, alongside the new Web3 team, so there may be a little disruption this week but it’s all part of the prep for launch. Zenko is at apefest in Lisbon this week, 3 days of web3 meetings and events. Apechain is one of the items on the agenda, and is a serious option alongside Arb and Abstract. We are built on Polygon but if there is a better home for us and our clients + causes, now is the time to make a change. Consumer friendly for scale is the key, and a chain that will provide community and marketing support. We also onboarding our new Asia team this week, who will be focussing on the whole region with a large focus on Korea and Japan (Inc exchanges), so we’ll make some formal introductions and exciting updates next week.

The rebrand has started and social channels renamed. We’ll continue the housekeeping this week, so please bear with us. The new X handle is https://x.com/zenkoprotocol but we’ll still project Cleo token updates on thecleotoken on X too. Everything else being updated with a new website that will be live tomorrow. Important: Please note we’ll do a Cleo holder 1:1 swap to the new token on token launch, do not try and swap the token in the meantime (it’ll be a scam). What a week! We’re onboarding a new partner for Asia, and we’ve reviewed everything and are good to go. So socials change on Monday, and website live Tuesday with the new Whitepaper. We’ve had to wait for a legal release, but we’ve just got comfirmation we can get going. None of this delays launch and hopefully Uptober can resume next week. Only big question is whether we move chains or not, which is a possibility. We are in discussion with a number of exciting chains that can bring significant benefits over Polygon - but this will be agreed in the next few weeks. Important note to remind everyone. All Cleo tokens will 1:1 swap to the new token once its live (no swap pre launch, please be careful), and the supply is not changing, and all those in the social missions campaign will get the new token on TGE (it doesnt exist till then). Our no.1 priority is a successful launch of the token which benefits everyone. Thank you for staying with us. (btw if anyone in the community is at Apefest, a number of the team are in Lisbon for meetings, so let us know and we’ll buy you a beer).

We’ve just been notifed that someone is sharing a ‘migrate’ your Cleo tokens link around socials AND ITS A SCAM. The new token will be generated at its TGE on exchange listing. Until then there is nothing to do, and we’ll post on from official accounts the process to swap from Cleo to Zenko tokens. Be careful.
