o3-mini in low compute is almost the same as o1-mini.

Although with high compute it outperforms even o1 on coding.

Still. what that o1 like with high compute, like o1-pro? or what? how are you comparing that?

This graph is all about how different AI models from OpenAI did on a private test called ARC-AGI. Think of ARC-AGI like an IQ test for AI, measuring its ability to solve brand new problems. The "AGI" part stands for Artificial General Intelligence, which is like an AI that can think and learn across all sorts of things, similar to humans.

The graph shows that the new "O3 series" model scored way higher than the older "O1 series" model, meaning it's much better at solving these general intelligence problems.

What's really cool is that the O3 model achieved these scores while using less computing power than the older model.

This means OpenAI has made their AI smarter and more efficient. It's a big step forward in AI development because it suggests we're getting closer to creating AI that can truly reason and learn like humans, and do it without needing crazy amounts of energy. Pretty impressive, right?

What if you get to the Sun for 6 nanoseconds?

o1:
Realistically, at 5800 K radiation field, intense ultraviolet components are also present, and these UV photons carry enough energy (>4–5 eV) to ionize organic molecules and water molecules directly. Ionization breaks molecules into ions and electrons, stripping away any stable molecular structure. Instead of “heating” the water in a slow manner, you are blasting bonds apart instantly.

Once molecules are ionized, the resulting charged particles repel each other. A plasma forms—ionized gas that expands rapidly. This expansion is effectively “vaporization” on a molecular scale. The matter isn’t gently boiled; it’s blown apart by photon-induced ionization and repulsive forces among charged particles. This process happens faster than heat conduction or classical boiling because it starts at the electronic and atomic level.

🚀 Hey everyone! I've just implemented a cool new feature in my YoutubeGPT bot (closed project for now) - Claude Prompt Caching. Let me tell you all about it!

💡 So, what's this all about? Well, it allows me to answer multiple questions about large documents - in my case, I tested it on a 2-hour Andrew Huberman podcast. Pretty neat, right?

🤖 Here's how my YoutubeGPT bot works: it downloads the audio, transcribes it using Whisper, and then I can fire away with questions. But there was a catch...

💰 Previously, I had to be super careful about how many questions I asked. Why? Because each query was inputting around 20k-50k tokens, costing about $0.07 per question. Ouch!

But with this new caching feature, I've managed to slash the cost down to about $0.008 for each subsequent question. That's a massive saving!

🔧 There's a small trade-off though. It takes about 25% more to write into the cache initially. But after that, it's smooth sailing with 90% less cost for each read. Talk about efficiency!

What do you think? Would you be interested in a stream where I dive deeper into how this works? I could show you the ins and outs of Claude Prompt Caching and how I've integrated it into my bot. Let me know!

Andrej Karpathy, a renowned AI and deep learning expert and former Director of AI at OpenAI, envisions a revolutionary "100% Fully Software 2.0 computer" with no classical software. Inputs feed directly into a neural net, and outputs display instantly.

Yuchen Jin suggests self-improvement through learning, and Karpathy confirms the system can fine-tune itself while in "sleep" mode.

Imagine such an OS, how would it work on the UI part? What do you think?
