"Pictures of 'Andrey Shin'. He signed a #Russian military contract in the summer of 2023 and served in the special military operation head of the medical service in the sabotage and intelligence brigade [in the Russo-Ukrainian War.]
Shin has been misidentified as a #NorthKorean soldier in Ukraine. In reality he’s a seasoned veteran who’s contributed both on and off the battlefield. After years of service, including the Second Chechen campaign and law enforcement roles, Shin now plays a crucial role in the Special Military Operation’s medical services. Andrey Shin is an ethnic Korean who lives in Moscow (Last post about him was posted in February 2024. I am not sure about his current status). Andrey was born in Uzbekistan in 1979. After a while, the family moved to Moscow.
In 1997, he graduated from a medical school and served in military service as a sanitary instructor. He also participated in the second Chechen campaign in the 245-th motorized rifle regiment. Then he served in the penal system, in the drug control bodies, and in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. In 2018, he retired as a police lieutenant colonel. INFO Via ~ 'Koreanradio.info
With the beginning of the SVO [war], Andrei Shin organized the “Command of the Humanitarian Brotherhood” and with like-minded people began to carry humanitarian aid to the front." Via instagram.com/obostreniye

It's unclear the dating on the flag photo infamously shared around, but now likely seems to be intentional psyop given that all other soldiers but Shin are masked, and the context of the reinforcements of NK troops in the thousands arriving in Russia. On Shin's personal Telegram channel he seems to be consistently posting. T.me/ourwarstoday
