I know its probably annoying that I constantly harp on sourcing art but I kind of really don't care lmao.
I want artists to actually get support. Way WAY too many times do I see art shared and people have literally NO idea who tf it's from. I'm talking even pieces shared ALL over the net. I see people asking who an artist is and the OP replies with "no idea I just found it" and I absolutely hate that.
Even when people DO at least take the time to "source" a piece, they just post a random username. The majority of people are NOT going to take the time to scour the net looking for a username on different sites and are much much more likely to check out more of an artists work with a direct link to their pages!
This is also why I harp on artists to sign their work legibly, literally BECAUSE people share it without sourcing it. I consider it a common courtesy myself, but tbh it feels like most people don't, and I would LOVE to change that mindset.
This is NOT directed at any single person, I'm directing it to everyone in my servers/chats. I will continue to be an asshole about it too, I REALLY do not care. It's listed in all of my chat rules/descriptions lmao, so if you miss it, that's on you =/
