• Special Election
Florida law allows for the Governor to call a special election to fill a vacant congressional seat.
However, the timing depends on the governor's decision. If the seat has been vacated for a significant period, a special election might have already been scheduled or might be in the planning stages. But… that wasn’t the case.
• Reappointment
If Gaetz wishes to return to Congress, he would need to be elected again.
There's no automatic reappointment process; he would have to run in the special election if one is called, or wait for the next regular election cycle if no special election is called in time.

Because Mississipppi's statute allows ballot receipt up to five days after the federal election day, it is preemted by federal law. We reverse the district court's contrary judgment and remand for further proceedings."
Because this is a decision by one of the highest courts in the nation, it impacts elections EVERYWHERE.

Love this but I kinda think we missed a big part of the picture. When DC is taken out, the Federal lands (per the key: surface and subsurface) will no longer be Federal. That is how the meek shall inherit the land. Trump spoke of using “Federal land” to create new homes for new home owners. It, once again, ties together with Trump.
I’m hoping that when the Federal land is no longer Federal, that We The People will have, or be able to obtain, allodial title to our property.
