एलन मस्क के स्वामित्व वाली SpaceX कंपनी के ‘फाल्कन 9’ रॉकेट से 19 Nov 2024 को केप कैनावेरल [फ्लोरिडा] से ISRO के [सैटेलाइट सेंटर तथा लिक्विड प्रोपल्शन सिस्टम्स सेंटर द्वारा विकसित] GSAT-N2 [GSAT-20] संचार सेटेलाइट को भूस्थिर कक्षा [35,786 KM की ऊँचाई पर] के लिए सफलतापूर्वक लॉन्च किया। यह उपग्रह देश के सुदूरवर्ती हिस्से में सेलुलर और इंटरनेट कनेक्टिविटी प्रदान करेगा

32 User Beams से सुसज्जित & 4700 KG भार उठाने वाले GSAT-N2 का मिशन जीवन 14 वर्ष है। [32 User Beams में से पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्र पर 8 Narrow Spot Beam और शेष भारत पर 24 Wide Spot Beam शामिल हैं।] इन 32 बीम को मुख्य भूमि भारत में स्थित हब स्टेशनों द्वारा समर्थित किया जाएगा। Ka-Band HTS संचार पेलोड लगभग 48 Gbps का थ्रूपुट प्रदान करता है।
पेलोड में 3 परवलयिक 2.5-मीटर तैनात करने योग्य रिफ्लेक्टर शामिल हैं, जिनमें कई फीड हैं, जो प्रति बीम कॉन्फ़िगरेशन के एकल फीड का उपयोग करके भारतीय क्षेत्र पर 32 स्पॉट बीम उत्पन्न करते हैं।
इसमे Sun Sensor, Earth Sensor, Inertial Reference Unit [IRU], and Star Sensor लगे हैं। सभी Sensor Absolute Attitude के रूप में Attitude data प्रदान करते हैं, जबकि IRU सभी अक्षों के बारे में Attitude rates & Incremental Angles प्रदान करता है।

न्यूस्पेस इंडिया लिमिटेड [NSIL] ISRO की वाणिज्यिक शाखा है। जिसकी स्थापना 6 मार्च 2019 [कंपनी अधिनियम, 2013 के तहत] को हुई थी।

जून 2022 में NSIL ने अपना पहला मांग-संचालित सैटेलाइट मिशन GSAT-24 [जिसे अब GSAT-N1 कहा जाता है] सफलतापूर्वक लॉन्च किया, जिसे पूरी तरह से केवल एक कंपनी टाटाप्ले द्वारा पट्टे पर लिया गया है।

यह योजना मेधावी छात्रों को वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करेगी ताकि आर्थिक तंगी के कारण कोई भी उच्च शिक्षा से वंचित न रहे। पीएम विद्यालक्ष्मी राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति, 2020 की एक और महत्वपूर्ण पहल है। इसमें सिफारिश की गई थी कि सार्वजनिक और निजी दोनों क्षेत्रों के उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों में मेधावी छात्रों को विभिन्न उपायों के माध्यम से वित्तीय सहायता उपलब्ध कराई जानी चाहिए।
यह योजना देश के शीर्ष गुणवत्ता वाले उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों पर लागू होगी। जैसा कि NIRF रैंकिंग से तय किया गया है। इस सूची को हर साल नवीनतम NIRF रैंकिंग का उपयोग करके अपडेट किया जाएगा
बजट - ₹3600 करोड़
इसके तहत हायर एजुकेशन के लिए ₹7.5 लाख तक के लोन पर केंद्र सरकार 75% क्रेडिट गारंटी देगी।
विदेश में पढ़ाई के लिए ₹15 लाख तक का लोन मिलेगा।
