Fleming's left-hand rule is a basic principle in electromagnetism used to determine the direction of the force experienced by a current-carrying conductor in a magnetic field. It is also known as the left-hand grip rule or the motor rule.

The rule states that if you extend your left hand and align your thumb, index finger, and middle finger perpendicular to each other, the thumb represents the direction of the force (F), the index finger points in the direction of the magnetic field (B), and the middle finger shows the direction of the current (I) flowing through the conductor.

To apply the rule, follow these steps:

1. Extend your left hand and make your thumb, index finger, and middle finger perpendicular to each other.
2. Point your index finger in the direction of the magnetic field (B).
3. Point your middle finger in the direction of the current (I) flowing through the conductor.
4. Your thumb will then indicate the direction of the force (F) experienced by the conductor.

What is a Transformer?

A transformer is a device used in the power transmission of electric energy. The transmission current is AC. It is commonly used to increase or decrease the supply voltage without a change in the frequency of AC between circuits.

Define the Ideal Transformer?

An ideal transformer is a fantasy transformer in which no losses happen at all. In another language, the transformer Input authority is equivalent to the output authority of the transformer, i.e. they have 100% competence. It is just a hypothetical transformer because there must be some losses in a genuine transformer.

Transformer input Power = Transformer Output Power.

What do you mean by electric traction?

Electric traction means with the electric power for the grip system. Electric traction means utilize of the electricity for railways, trams, trolleys etc. Nowadays, magnetic toehold is also used for projectile trains. And essentially dc motors are used for electric traction systems.

Conventional Power Plants

They include the generation of electricity from conventional sources of energy. These resources are finite and exhaustible. Once consumed, these sources cannot be replaced by others. Examples include coal, timber, petroleum, lignite, natural gas, fossil fuels, nuclear fuels etc.

The conventional power plants include the following power plants,

Steam Engines Power Plants

Steam Turbine Power Plants

Diesel Power Plants

Gas Turbine Power Plants

Hydro Electric Power Plants

Nuclear Power Plants

Types of Power Plants

There are several different types of power plants used across the world today. Power plants are classified into different groups based on the criteria used for the classification. The criteria used in this article is what source of energy is utilized to produce the electricity. Using the criteria of source of energy for electricity production, we can broadly classify power plants to,

Conventional Power Plants

Non-Conventional Power Plants

Conventional power plants use conventional sources of energy while non-conventional power plants utilize non-conventional sources of energy.

What is the difference between MCB & MCCB, Where it
can be used?
MCB is miniature circuit breaker which is thermal operated and
use for short circuit protection in small current rating circuit.
MCCB moulded case circuit breaker and is thermal operated for
over load current and magnetic operation for instant trip in
short circuit condition.under voltage and under frequency may
be inbuilt. Normally it is used where normal current is more
than 100A.

An electric current is a flow of electric charge. In electric circuits this charge is often carried by moving electrons in a wire. It is involved in powering the electrical appliances you use every day: computers, smartphones, washing machines, flashlights and any other common electric device.
