Are you Team Oxford Comma or Team “Who Needs It?” 🤔
The Oxford Comma (also called the serial comma) is the comma before the final "and" or "or" in a list. For example:
📌 Without Oxford Comma:
"I love my parents, my teacher and my neighbor."
👉 This sentence suggests that "my teacher and my neighbor" are actually my parents (meaning I love only two people). 😲
📌 With Oxford Comma:
"I love my parents, my teacher, and my neighbor."
👉 Now, it's clear that I love four people:
✔️ My mom
✔️ My dad
✔️ My teacher
✔️ My neighbor
This tiny comma can clarify meaning and avoid confusion. While not always required, many style guides recommend it, while others leave it out.
