Job Summary:
We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team and provide exceptional support for our FTTH and Wireless ISP customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting network issues, assisting end-users, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Monitor network infrastructure, including fiber and wireless devices, using monitoring tools.
Identify, track, and resolve faults; escalate unresolved issues to relevant teams.
Perform proactive checks on FTTH OLTs, ONTs, wireless access points, and backhaul links.
Handle basic and advanced troubleshooting for PPPoE, DHCP, VLANs, and Routing issues.
🔹 Customer Support & Issue Resolution
Respond to customer inquiries related to FTTH and Wireless internet services.
Diagnose fiber connectivity issues, signal degradation, and wireless interference problems.
Guide customers on ONT, router, and CPE configurations for optimal performance.
Coordinate with the NOC and Field Teams for complex troubleshooting and onsite support.
Ensure customer issues are resolved within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
🔹 Documentation & Process Improvement
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and technical resolutions.
Contribute to an internal knowledge base for troubleshooting and best practices.
Assist in refining support workflows to enhance response times and efficiency.
🔹 On-Call Support & Incident Management
Participate in rotational on-call shifts for after-hours support.
Assist in major outage investigations and provide real-time updates to stakeholders.
Work closely with Field Engineers to troubleshoot fiber cuts and wireless link failures.
Requirements:
✅ Education & Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Communications Engineering, or a related field.
CCNA, Mikrotik (MTCNA, MTCRE), or Ubiquiti certifications are preferred.
✅ Technical Skills
Strong understanding of Fiber Optic Networks (OLT, ONT, PON architecture).
Experience with Mikrotik,Mimosa, Ubiquiti (AirMax, AirFiber), and Cisco networking devices.
Basic knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, PPPoE, DHCP, and QoS.
Familiarity with wireless troubleshooting (signal strength, interference, alignment).
Ability to configure and troubleshoot CPEs, routers, and home Wi-Fi networks.
✅ Soft Skills & Experience
6 months – 1 year of experience in ISP support, NOC, or technical assistance.
Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
Ability to communicate technical details effectively in English and Arabic.
