Happy & Blessed Tuesday Friends!

I had the honor and privilege of attending a wonderful 4-day virtual joy session with Nicole Roth's ministry.

Nicole shares her story of how the Lord revealed Himself to her and how He guided her to share these divine revelations with other women.

I was blessed, refreshed and reminded of how to count it all joy. I felt as if the Lord was knocking at my door. I'm so good at sharing Him with others, encouraging others, cheering others on and more. What I haven't been good with, doing the same for myself. We all encounter difficult experiences, get stuck and these sessions are amazing at helping to see the Lord clearly and His hand reaching out.

Nicole felt the Lord encourage her to hold these free sessions monthly until June. You will be blessed!

Our Ice Fishing Adventure

It's been years since we have been ice fishing. The temps are cold enough for ice to form and decided to head out and try.

We were very prepared to arrive and set up at Schroon Lake early but to our surprise, the area we planned on fishing was open water. So, off to Brant Lake, fully frozen but no parking available. Back to Schroon to find a spot safe enough to fish.

We stopped at Eagle Point Campground where some fishermen had parked. Thankfully we saw one. Ray asked him about the ice in that area, only 3". Yikes! Ray chatted with him and he suggested we go to the north end. He said that area of the lake has 8", now that's more like it. So off we went yet again!

By the time we set up, it was a after 1pm. No fish for all our efforts but a beautiful winter day. Snow falling, church bells ringing, gorgeous sunset, another day spent with Ray & Sam! ❄️💙

As I sat in my quiet time with the Lord this morning, He reminded me of this poem. A favorite of mine.

As a child, when first reading this, I felt a strong connection. At that time, I couldn't understand why. I would just love to read and reread, filled with great hope of His promise to never leave.

My Mom had this framed and out on display in our living room, so I read it almost daily, if not a few times each day. When I turned 16 and began driving, I was gifted a footprint key chain with this engraved.

Only the Lord knew the path of my life's journey and maybe He drew me in at such a young age so that one day when I needed the reminder, He would reveal His promise that He carried me, never left and never will.

May you be blessed by this poem today and beyond as well.

A cold snowy afternoon yesterday at The VanDeWater Homestead on Liberty Hill Farm! 👩🏻‍🌾

Sammy and I bundled up for a hike through the woods. So peaceful listening to the snow and taking in the beauty of a winter day. ❄️

Later in the evening, I headed to the coop. Been keeping the girls inside with this cold. At least in the coop, they move around more. Only negative, chicken poop builds up throughout the day. Lots to clean up in the morning. 🐔

Ray was on a road trip for parts needed for some farm equipment. We are hoping to have a sugar shack built in time for maple season. It's a big project and a short window. I'm hopeful and looking forward to increasing our maple production.🍁

Prayerfully, someday have a small farm stand! We'll have our maple syrup, fresh veggies, eggs and more!

Last Day 2024 Part Two

After lunch, we packed up and headed to Vermont for an afternoon hike.

Ray said wear red just in case, so we look like twins, even Sam is in his flannel!

A lovely time. Peaceful, quiet, creation and my best trekking pals, Ray and Sam!

As soon as we hit the trail I exhaled a deep sigh as if releasing all the pressures of life. Nothing better for a reboot than time in creation, especially in the forest amongst the trees.

It's been awhile since we hiked and it sure did feel good in so many ways. Physical, emotional and spiritual!

We even scored on some chaga.

With all the fun for the last day of 2024, makes me excited for the first day of 2025!

I hope you all are making the best of your last day of 2024 and looking forward to your 2025 as well!
